Ingram CEO O’Loughlin to Retire; Roberts to Take the Helm

Nashville-based Ingram Marine Group, one of the largest barging companies in the U.S., announced Monday that David O’Loughlin will retire from his role as CEO. He will be succeeded by John Roberts, the company’s current chief operating officer, who will take the helm as the new president and CEO on February 1. O’Loughlin will stay with the company as vice chair for the remainder of 2022 to assist with the transition. “Dave has been invaluable to our company and our people,” said Ingram Barge Company chairman Orrin H. Ingram II.

McDonald Promoted to EVP at Ingram Industries Inc.

Ingram Industries Inc. announced the promotion of Vice President and Deputy General Counsel Eleanor McDonald to Executive Vice President and General Counsel and Secretary, effective July 1. Orrin H. Ingram, President and Chief Executive Officer, commended Ms. She joined Ingram in 2006 as Assistant General Counsel, and before that was in private law practice in Nashville concentrating in mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance transactions and general corporate matters. Ms. McDonald received her juris doctor degree from Vanderbilt University Law School and earned her bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Dave O’Loughlin has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Vessel Operations and Strategic Sourcing, reporting to Kaj Shah, President, Ingram Barge Company. Robert Barker is promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Ingram Barge Company. “Robert has been managing operations, budgets, and varied technological projects of the Information Services group since joining Ingram in 2010,” Craig E. Prior to Ingram, Mr. Barker served as Director of Information Systems for a multi-billion dollar division of Manitowoc Companies in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania. Ingram Completes Acquisition of U.S. United Barge Line

Ingram Barge Company today completed its acquisition of U.S. United Barge Line, LLC (“UBL”), a barge transportation company headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The proposed transaction was announced on April 19 and, following the receipt of necessary government approval and satisfaction of other closing conditions, Ingram officials said today they had finalized the sale and that the process of integrating the UBL business will begin immediately. Approximately 300 UBL associates will join Ingram, and 17 towboats and some 650 barges will be added to the Ingram fleet. Orrin H. United Maritime Group, LLC Announces Agreement to Sell U.S. United Barge Line, LLC to Ingram Barge Company. United Maritime Group, LLC ("UMG") today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell U.S. United Barge Line, LLC ("UBL"), a wholly owned barge transportation subsidiary of UMG, to Ingram Barge Company. Based in Tampa, the subsidiaries of UMG operate businesses in the dry bulk transportation and logistics industry, including U.S. United Bulk Terminal, LLC, the largest coal and petroleum coke handling facility in the Gulf of Mexico, and U.S. United Ocean Services, LLC, which operates the largest Jones Act dry bulk ocean fleet by capacity.

Ingram to sell its Materials Unit

Ingram Industries Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee, and Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel Co. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, announced today they have entered into an agreement for Ingram to sell its Ingram Materials LLC subsidiary to Pine Bluff. Ingram Materials is one of the nation’s premier producers of fine aggregate used by the construction industry for concrete, asphalt and masonry projects in Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky and Northern Alabama. Ingram Materials operates three sand dredges on the Ohio River in Paducah, Kentucky, and has distribution facilities in Nashville, Clarksville and New Johnsonville, Tennessee; Paducah, Kentucky; and Decatur and Florence, Alabama. The Ingram Materials business was first established in 1927 by other owners who called it the Ohio River Sand Company.
