Kongsberg to Design and Equip Suez Canal's New Salvage Tugs
Kongsberg Maritime announced it has won a contract to provide the design and equipment for two powerful salvage tugs being built by Alexandria Shipyard as main contractor on behalf of the Suez Canal Authority. General Dynamics Information Technology has won three task orders worth a total of $26.7m from the Naval Sea Systems Command. The company will provide IT engineering and professional services for the US Navy's Smart Carrier program at its , Carderock Division in . It will support modernization operations including testing and installation of new machinery control monitoring systems, distributed data and control networks, and navigation and ship control systems.
