Bureau Veritas Grants AiP for Innovative Ocean Clean-up Vessel

SBM Offshore to Build Fourth FPSO for Exxon in Guyana

Dutch FPSO specialist SBM Offshore has won contracts to perform Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for an FPSO for Exxon's Yellowtail development offshore Guyana. This will be SBM Offshore's largest-ever FPSO.The FEED contract for what will be Guyana's fourth FPSO, and fourth delivered by SBM Offshore, triggers the initial release of funds by ExxonMobil to begin FEED activities and secure a Fast4Ward hull. The Fast4Ward program includes a new build, multi-Purpose Floater hull combined with several standardized topsides modules.

BIO UV Unveils New BWTS Series

BIO UV Group said it has designed a new series of BIO-SEA ballast water treatment system (BWTS) compatible with flow rate requirements of up to more than 2,100 cubic meters per hour (m3/h).The new M-Series BWTS incorporates a novel reactor arrangement designed to increase the flow rate capacity of existing technology without the need for any manifolds.“This is a huge development in ballast water treatment,” said Xavier Deval, Business Director – BIO-SEA, BIO-UV Group. “With the M-Series we see a significant benefit in terms of size, capacity and installation simplicity.

McDermott and CB&I Conclude Merger

McDermott International and CB&I announced that the companies have received antitrust clearance in Russia for their proposed combination. With this clearance, McDermott and CB&I have received all the required competition authority approvals for the transaction. As previously announced on December 18, 2017, McDermott and CB&I agreed to combine in an all-stock transaction to create a premier vertically integrated onshore-offshore company with an enterprise value of approximately $6 billion. Under the terms of the proposed combination, upon completion, it is estimated that McDermott stockholders will own approximately 53 percent of the combined company on a fully diluted basis and CB&I shareholders will own approximately 47 percent.

Liquidation of PMB Malaysia Completed

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today informed that further to the announcement made on 27 August 2013, the members’ voluntary liquidation of its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, PMB Project Management Business Sdn Bhd (PMB Malaysia), has been completed. ST Engineering is an integrated engineering group providing solutions and services in the aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine sectors. The liquidation of PMB Malaysia is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year. The Group reported revenue of S$6.54b in FY2014 and ranks among the largest companies listed on the Singapore Exchange.

AVEVA announced that Tianchen, one of China’s largest engineering contractors serving the chemical processing industry, has selected AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) as its 3D design solution.
