Northstar Network, Canadian Navy Contract

Northstar Network Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Northstar Electronics Inc. (OTCBB: NEIK), has been awarded a $2.6m contract by L-3 Communications MAPPS Inc. Sperry Marine Earns Type Approval for MAISTRO

Northrop Grumman Corporation's Sperry Marine business unit has been awarded type approval from the Norwegian classification society Det Norske Veritas for its shipboard Machinery Automation and Integrated Ship Control Solution (MAISTRO). CAE's Marine Division Signs $19M in Deals

CAE signed new contracts to provide integrated bridge systems (IBSs) for the United Arab Emirates' Baynunah-class corvettes, and a land-based test facility for the German navy's F-124-class frigates. CAE also signed a contract amendment for the Indian navy's landing ship program and finalized the contract for the German navy's K130 corvette program. In total, the new agreements and contract amendment are worth about C$19 million, with an option of C$4 million for two additional Baynunah corvette IBSs. The new contract with the German navy calls for CAE to provide an F-124 land-based test facility to support CAE's integrated machinery control system (IMCS) already aboard the navy's new F-124 class frigates.

CAE To Supply Control Systems, Upgrade Study for Patrol Frigates

CAE has been selected to provide display replacements and perform a supportability study for the CAE-developed Integrated Machinery Control System (IMCS) aboard the Canadian Navy's Halifax class Canadian Patrol Frigates. The value of the contract is approximately C$4 million. In addition to replacing IMCS console displays with state-of-the-art, high-resolution flat panels, CAE will be conducting a supportability study to analyze future IMCS support and upgrade requirements for the 12 Halifax class frigates. Supportability studies are integral to the Navy's equipment life- cycle management, determining when, where and how equipment is maintained, repaired or upgraded over its useful life.
