Texcom Gets Navy Comm Contract

Texcom, Inc., Portsmouth, Va., is being awarded an estimated $5.5m indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract to provide in-service engineering agent support, system integration support services, including Life Cycle Support, that will be used to define, design, develop, test, integrate, and provide support for C4ISR systems for Navy Communications Programs. The contract includes four one-year option periods which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to an estimated $29m. The work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. and is expected to be completed by October 2007 (October 2011 with options). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

MMS Awards Contract For Royalty Reengineering

The U.S. Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service awarded a $47 million, seven-year contract to Andersen Consulting to develop, install and operate an integrated financial system that will improve the Federal government's Royalty Management Program (RMP). With the signing of this contract, MMS fully enters the implementation phase of its reengineering initiative, which was spurred by aging computer systems, changing energy markets, and the need to place its business enterprise on business cycles and processes that better align with industry and financial institutions. The RMP, which is charged with collecting, accounting for and distributing billions of dollars in revenues associated with minerals activity on Federal and American Indian lands…
