Marlink Integrates Starlink LEO Connectivity for TUI's Mein Schiff Fleet

Marlink reports it is providing new capabilities to long-term customer TUI Cruises on its Mein Schiff fleet, augmenting its managed hybrid network solution with Starlink LEO connectivity.Marlink will install its Sealink NextGen network solution – combining low-latency LEO connectivity with global 4G/5G and C/Ku-band VSAT - on the combined fleet of six existing Mein Schiff vessels and two newbuildings. Ocean Freight Contract Management Post-P3

The recent decision by Chinese antitrust authorities to block approval of the P3 Ocean Carrier Alliance has increased the demand for Ocean Contract Management. In response, Freightgate is offering free demonstration of its award winning Rate & Tender Management Tariff-Trek! Solution. The proposed mega-alliance by the world’s three biggest shipping - Maersk, Mediterranean Shipping Co and CMA CGM would have created common tariff pricing to most of the world’s ocean ports. It was estimated the P3 alliance would have controlled 42 percent on the Asia-to-Europe route, 24 percent in the trans-Pacific trade, and up to 42 percent in the trans-Atlantic. Now, says Freightgate, shippers are in a better negotiating position to control their ocean freight costs.

MTN Will Provide For Heerema Marine Contractors

Maritime Telecommunications Network, Inc. (MTN), announced that it has entered into an agreement with Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC), making MTN the exclusive provider of global telecommunications services aboard Heerema's DCV Balder. MTN will supply Heerema Marine Contractors with 128 kbps of high-speed bandwidth to enable communications for the DCV Balder, which operates in the Gulf of Mexico. MTN's services will allow Heerema's personnel to interact via advanced satellite network capabilities. High-speed data, fax, telephone and Internet solutions will be readily accessible to Heerema employees. MTN provides communication solutions including C-Band Global Satellite Service and Ku-Band International Spot Beam technology.
