NIB to Co-Finance Norled’s Vessels and Infrastructure in Norway

Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a seven-year loan to co-finance ferry operator Norled AS’ investments in zero and low carbon vessels and related land-based infrastructure in Norway during 2024-2030.The InvestEU program supports the loan under NIBs Framework Operation Green Mobility and Transport approved by the Investment Committee.This NOK 500 million (EUR 43.4 million) loan will help Norled finance the extension of its low-carbon fleet. Bruun Takes the Helm at KVH Industries

KVH Industries, Inc., announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Brent C. Bruun as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board. The Board also appointed two seasoned industry executives, David Kagan and David Tolley, as directors of KVH.Bruun first joined KVH in 2008 and has served as KVH’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since March 2022. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of KVH beginning in 2016, as well as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Outgoing Ørsted CEO Poulsen to Join AP Moller

Henrik Poulsen, CEO of offshore wind giant Ørsted, who recently announced his decision to step down after eight years with the firm, will join Denmark's maritime giant AP Moller Holding.The A.P. Moller Group comprises of A.P. Moller - Maersk, Danske Bank, Maersk Drilling, Maersk Tankers, Maersk Product Tankers, KK Wind Solutions and A.P. Moller Capital. A.P. Moller Holding is the parent company of the Group.Poulsen will join AP Moller Holding (APMH) as a Senior Advisor and member of its Investment Committee on February 1, 2021.

France Awards Contract for Frigates Renovation

On May 2, 2017, the French Directorate-General for Armaments (DGA) awarded a contract to renovate three of the five La Fayette-class Frigates (FLF) currently in service with the French Navy to DCNS. Nathalie Smirnov, Head of Services at DCNS, declared, “DCNS thanks the Direction Générale de l'Armement (DGA) for its confidence and welcomes this notification related to the platform and combat system modernization of the La Fayette class frigates. These operations are major and have never been realized so far on this kind of frigate.

Andersen will be CEO of Hempel

Hempel A/S announced that CEO Pierre-Yves Jullien will be succeeded by Henrik Andersen, Group COO of ISS A/S, by March 1st 2016. Henrik Andersen has been with ISS A/S since 2000, since 2011 as Member of the Executive Board, first as Group CFO and from 2013 Group COO, EMEA and following a recent change been appointed in his current position as global Group COO. Prior to returning to Copenhagen in 2011, Henrik spent 7 years in the UK starting as CFO and from 2008 to 2011 as CEO for ISS UK and its 43,000 employees. Chemoil CEO Dies in Helicopter Crash

The Board of Directors of Chemoil Energy announced that the company’s CEO and Executive Chairman, Robert V Chandran passed away January 7, 2008 from injuries sustained when a helicopter he was traveling in crashed in the Riau Province of Indonesia. In the aircraft with Chandran was Terence Gidlow, Chemoil’s Vice President of Business Development, who was injured but is in stable condition. Chandran built Chemoil Energy into one of the world’s leading independent suppliers of marine fuels since he founded the company in 1981.
