Wintermar Nabs 5-Year Charters for AHTS Duo

Indonesia offshore vessel operator Wintermar has secured five-year contracts for two of its offshore support vessels with an unnamed multinational oil and gas firm in Indonesia.Under the contracts, the two Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels will support production at an oil field off the northern coast of East Java.The vessels will support an FPSO unit in a producing field. The total contract value is $22 Million. As at May 24, Wintermar's contract backlog stood at $76.7 million. Indonesia Finds New COVID-19 Cluster After Bulk Carrier Infections

Indonesia reported a new cluster of 42 coronavirus infections among medical workers who treated 13 Filipino ship crew who were sick with COVID-19, and is tracing dozens of others, a government official said on Sunday.About 140 other medical workers came into close contact with the crew of the Panamanian-flagged cargo ship Hilma Bulker, who tested positive for the new coronavirus after docking in Central Java on April 25, the province's governor, Ganjar Pranowo, told Reuters. 17 Fishermen Missing After Collision with Bulk Carrier

Divers were scouring the waters of the Java Sea on Sunday for 17 fishermen reported missing after their boat capsized following a crash involving a bulk carrier, a spokesman for Indonesia’s search and rescue agency said.Fifteen crew of the fishing boat, the Barokah Jaya, were evacuated after Saturday’s crash, but five divers are searching for the remaining 17, Yusuf Latif, the spokesman of the agency, Basarnas, said in a statement.“We’re still conducting the search,” Yusuf said, adding that an agency rescue ship had taken the survivors aboard.The crash happened at 0930 GMT, Yusuf said.

30 Missing after Indonesian Ferry Catches Fire

Mayer Brown Advises on HK FSRU Project

31 Missing in Indonesian Fishing Boat Sinking

Indonesian rescuers were battling high tides and strong winds on Friday in a search for 31 people missing after a fishing boat sank in waters off Borneo island, killing at least four, an official of the search and rescue agency said.There were 37 people on board the vessel, four of whom had been found dead, while two had survived, agency spokesman Iman Saputra said by telephone."Rescue efforts will go on for the next four days. The obstacles are high tides and strong winds," said Saputra, who is based in Banjarmasin, the capital of South Kalimantan province, near the site of the sinking.The vessel had left the town of Pekalongan on Java island three days ago before running into trouble, Saputra said, adding that the agency had deployed 35 people to hunt for those missing.
