BAE Systems announce that Tom Arseneault has been appointed chief operating officer (COO) of BAE Systems, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc. BAE Systems Inc. Appoint DeMuro President & CEO

Jerry DeMuro, formerly executive vice-president and corporate vice president of the Information Systems and Technology group at General Dynamics,  has been appointed as president and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc., effective February 1, 2014 to succeed Linda P. Hudson, who had announced last year her intention to retire from the company in 2014. DeMuro will be appointed as an executive director of BAE Systems plc and will serve on BAE Systems’ Executive Committee, as well as on the board of BAE Systems, Inc.

Coast Guard Places Rescue 21 System into Service

The United States Coast Guard announces a significant milestone in its critical life saving and homeland security missions by officially accepting Rescue 21 at a ceremony at Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., on Tuesday. The ceremony will dedicate the system for Atlantic City, and Eastern Shore, Va. Keynote speakers include the Honorable Frank LoBiondo, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, Adm. Thomas H. Collins, Commandant of the Coast Guard. General Dynamics Board of Directors Elect VPs

The board of directors of General Dynamics elected two new vice presidents of the corporation: Frederick J. Harris, 60, who will succeed Richard H. Vortmann as president of subsidiary National Steel and Shipbuilding Co. (NASSCO); and Chris Marzilli, 46, who will succeed Mark A. Fried as president of business unit General Dynamics C4 Systems. Harris and Marzilli will assume their new positions and become vice presidents of the corporation on January 1. Harris started with General Dynamics Electric Boat in 1973 as a senior engineer in the Trident ballistic-missile submarine program. General Dynamics Names Marzilli President of C4 Systems

General Dynamics announced that, effective January 1, 2006, Chris Marzilli will become president of subsidiary General Dynamics C4 Systems. He will report to Jerry DeMuro, General Dynamics executive vice president and group executive for Information Systems and Technology. Marzilli will succeed Mark A. Fried, 59, who is retiring. Marzilli has worked in the defense information systems and technology industry for more than 20 years, the past 15 of which have been largely dedicated to bringing advanced command, control, communications, computing and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions to the tactical battlespace. Since Nov. 2003, Marzilli has been senior vice president and deputy general manager of General Dynamics C4 Systems.
