Klaveness Combination Carriers Orders Three Newbuilds

Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA (KCC) announced it has concluded a shipbuilding contract for the construction of three third generation CABU vessels with Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Navibulgar Orders Four Bulkers

Bulgarian shipping company Navigation Maritime Bulgare (Navibulgar) ordered a new series of four 31800 ton bulk carriers in the Chinese Shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.The century-old, largest ship-owning company in the country said in a press note that the deliveries are scheduled for 2021 and 2022.DNV- GL classification society is supervising the design and the construction process of the new lake fitted bulk carries. Navigation Maritime Bulgare possesses already other eight lakes fitted bulk carriers with DWT about 30,000 tons.The design of the new project has been jointly developed by the Chinese company Shanghai Odely Marine Engineering Co., Ltd and Navigation Maritime Bulgare.

Navibulgar Christens New Bulk Carrier

The flag of the second 45,500 dwt bulk carrier, ordered by Navibulgar was hoisted in the Chinese Shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Klaveness Combination Carriers to List in Oslo

Norway's Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) has raised 350 million Norwegian crowns in a private share placement, valuing the shipping firm at 2.27 billion crowns ($259.57 million) ahead of an Oslo stock market listing on May 22.Following the successful private placement, KCC has declared two options for the construction of the seventh and eight CLEANBU combination carrier with Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd in China.The two newbuilds are scheduled for delivery in January and February 2021. Klaveness Combination Carriers Announces Sixth Newbuild

Norway-based shipowner Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) has declared an option for the construction of a sixth combination carrier, CLEANBU, with Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd in China.The delivery date is scheduled for fourth quarter 2020. The construction of the five sister vessels is progressing in line with schedule and the first vessel will be delivered in December 2018/January 2019.Following the declaration, the KCC fleet will grow to 15 vessels by the end of 2020. Klaveness Combination Carriers Orders Fifth Carrier

Norwegian shipping company  Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) has declared an option for the construction of a combination carrier with Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd in China. The delivery date is scheduled for second quarter 2020. KCC already has four sister vessels under construction at the same yard with delivery in 2018-2020. Following the declaration, the KCC fleet will grow to 14 vessels by 2020. The company holds options for further vessels. "Our fleet of combination carriers and container vessels set standards for efficient and environmentally friendly shipping. 10,000 TEU Vessel Delivered to Seaspan

Seaspan Corporation said it has accepted delivery of the CMA CGM Cochin, a 10,000 TEU containership that will commence a fixed rate time charter with CMA CGM S.A. for a three year term with an option to extend for an additional three years.The new containership, which was constructed at Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., is the second in a series of four 10,000 TEU vessels under time charter to CMA CGM that are scheduled to deliver in the first half of 2018.

GE Shipping Takes Delivery of a New Building Resale Kamsarmax

Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) took delivery of a new building resale Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier ‘Jag Aalok’ of about 82023 dwt. According to a report in the Livement,  the company had contracted to buy the ship in April 2016. The vessel has been built at Jiangsu New Yangzi shipbuilding Co. Ltd., P.R. China. With the inclusion of this vessel, the Company’s current fleet stands at 35 vessels, comprising 23 tankers (7 crude carriers, 14 product tankers, 2 LPG carrier) and 12 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 6 Kamsarmax, 5 Supramax) with an average age of 9.35 years aggregating 2.75 mn dwt. Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange regarding a Press Release dated June 30, 2016 titled: G E Shipping takes delivery of a new building Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier "Jag Ajay". The vessel was ordered by GE Shipping in December 2013 and has been built at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., P.R. China. Seaspan Acquires 6th 10K TEU Boxship

Seaspan Corporation announced today that it accepted delivery of a 10000 TEU containership, the MOL Breeze. The new containership, which was constructed at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., is Seaspan's sixth 10000 TEU SAVER design containership delivered in 2014. This is the ninth 10000 TEU vessel using Seaspan's fuel-efficient SAVER design constructed at Yangzijiang. The MOL Breeze will commence an eight-year, fixed-rate time charter with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. ("MOL"). The ship is the third of a total of five 10000 TEU SAVER design vessels, and the ninth of a total of eleven vessels, to be chartered by Seaspan to MOL. The delivery of the MOL Breeze expands the Company's operating fleet to 77 vessels.

G E Shipping Contracts to Sell a VLGC

The Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd. (G E Shipping) has signed a contract to sell “Jag Vidhi”, a Very Large Gas Carrier. The 1990 built vessel of about 49,701 dwt will be delivered to the buyers in the second half of 2014-15. On 21st May this year the company had delivered its 1996 built Medium Range Product Tanker “Jag Padma” (47,172 dwt) to the buyers. Excluding “Jag Vidhi”, the Company’s fleet stands at 28 vessels, comprising 20 tankers (8 crude carriers, 12 product carriers) and 8 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 3 Kamsarmax and 4 Supramax) with an average age of 9.5 years aggregating 2.32 mn dwt. The company has six new buildings on order. A Medium Range (MR) Product Tanker is on order with STX (Dalian) Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.,China.

Seaspan on Container Ship Buying Spree

Seaspan Corporation orders 4 newbuild 10,000 TEU container ships and, buys 4 second-hand 4,600 TEU ones. Seaspan has signed contracts for the construction of four 10,000 TEU class newbuilding containerships, at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in China. Seaspan to Build Four New 4250 TEU Vessels

Seaspan Corporation announced that it has signed contracts to build four 4250 TEU vessels at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in China. These new orders are in addition to the ten 2500 TEU vessels Seaspan previously ordered from Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a shipyard affiliated with Jiangsu. The four newbuilding vessels are scheduled to be delivered between March and September, 2009. The total delivered cost is expected to be approximately $66.1m per vessel, subject to certain pre-delivery expenses remaining at budgeted levels. Seaspan also announced that it has arranged simultaneous six-year charter agreements for these four vessels with Compania SudAmerica de Vapores SA (CSAV) of Chile at a rate of $25,925 per day.
