ABB Turbocharging is celebrating its 25th anniversary in UAE. Established in 1989 in Dubai, ABB has grown to become a fully-fledged service station capable of carrying out all repair works with 27 employees in three locations. ABB Turbocharging Dubai provides customers with turbocharging solutions for land-based diesel power plants with a strong focus on the marine segment in both seaports and offshore anchorages at Khorfakkan, Fujairah, and major shipyards Dubai drydocks + ASRY, Bahrain. The service station has a very important regional role with several key countries being supported in Middle East including Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq and Yemen. Dubai is also responsible for area management of the turbocharging business in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Pakistan.

Drydocks World, the international service provider to the maritime, oil and gas and energy sectors announced today that ABB’s first-ever Middle Eastern Turbocharging Service Point is now in operation inside its Dubai-based facility. The new Turbocharging Service Point will promote sharing of mutual benefits to enhance business of both companies, ensure enhanced turbocharger service to customers in the yard, and offer one-stop ABB turbocharger solutions at Drydocks World and Maritime World. ABB’s large global Service Network will also support Drydocks World.

Ship and rig repair specialist ASRY reports that it has signed a co-operation agreement with ABB Industries (LLC), Dubai, a division of ABB Turbocharging, a leader in the manufacture and maintenance of turbochargers for two-stroke and four-stroke engines for various types of vessels. The agreement will see ABB open a new workshop in ASRY, provide international factory warranties from ASRY, and provide onsite accessibility for ASRY customers to ABB’s worldwide Service Network.

ABB Turbocharging to open a dedicated service point in the Drydocks World facility in Dubai. This new cooperative agreement was marked formally by signing a Memorandum of Understanding at a ceremony in conjunction with the SMM in Hamburg, Germany. The agreement ensure quick turbocharger service to customers in the yard, and offer one-stop ABB turbocharger solutions at Drydocks World. According to the agreement, ABB Turbocharging in Dubai will provide international factory warranties to all service jobs done at Drydocks World, including dedicated machines and engineers at a workstation within the shipyard facility. Over 100 ABB Service Stations worldwide will also provide assistance to Drydocks World if required…
