Konecranes Won Repeat RTG Order from Port Houston

During the second quarter 2017, Konecranes received an order for 9 RTGs from Port Houston, Texas, USA. This is a repeat order, the first Konecranes RTGs to Port Houston were delivered in 2003. The nine cranes will be delivered to Port Houston Bayport Container Terminal in early fall 2018. Port Houston is an economic engine that produces jobs and economic prosperity for the local and state economy. It is the largest port on the Gulf Coast, the biggest port in Texas and the only port in Houston. Port Houston strives to be America’s hub for the next generation. The purchase of the new RTGs will support the peak demand brought to Port Houston by the next generation container vessels.

Konecranes Receive Another RTG Crane Order

In March 2014, Konecranes received another order for RTGs and reach stackers from transportation supplier CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. in the U.S. Four Konecranes RTGs will be delivered to two CSX Intermodal Terminals’ facilities in Chicago, Illinois, and two reach stackers to Charleston, South Carolina. More Abu Dhabi Orders for Konecranes

Konecranes contracted to deliver 12 new cranes to the commercial Khalifa Port container terminal in Abu Dhabi. The company has received an order for twelve cranes for the new Khalifa Port where it has already delivered 30 automated stacking cranes. The port started its commercial operations in September this year. Khalifa Port is owned by the Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) and operated by Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT). Konecranes new order includes cranes with a lifting capacity of 40 tons, and they are equipped with automation controls.

Container Stacking Cranes Abu Dhabi Order for Konecranes

Konecranes to deliver 12 more Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs) to the container terminal at Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi. Following upon the successful delivery of a complete automated container yard system including 30 Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs) to the new Khalifa Port, Konecranes will deliver a further 12 ASCs to the port, which officially started commercial operations on 1 September 2012. Deliveries will take place in Q4 2013 and Q1 2014. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the order.
