The City of Indianapolis and the Indiana SeaPerch regions were the ideal combination to host the Third National SeaPerch Challenge at the Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) on May 17 – 19, 2013. On Friday evening, May 17, 83 top robotic teams from middle and high schools, after school and out-of-school programs in 23 states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico convened at the IUPUI Natatorium for a weekend of competition and fun-filled activities.

Record Numbers Attend The IBIA Annual Dinner 2011

THE International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) welcomed a record number of 985 members and their guests to its 17th Annual Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last week. The popularity of the dinner, which was previously held at the Hilton, on London’s Park Lane, enabled the association to move the event to a larger venue for 2011. Charlotte Egan, IBIA Event Manager, says, “The decision to move the event to the Grosvenor House was a wise one. Its capacity for dinners is one of the largest in London. We were confident from the success of the 2010 event that numbers were going to keep increasing, and we were right. Seminar to Focus on Tanker Safety

In conjunction with the autumn meetings of the INTERTANKO Executive Committee and Council, INTERTANKO will be organising an international seminar on Tanker Safety, Pollution Prevention, Spill Response and Compensation. International Seminar To Be Held in Hong Kong

ITOPF, OCIMF and INTERTANKO will be holding a series of meetings in Hong Kong at the beginning of November 2002. These meetings will bring together senior representatives from the world's oil, tanker shipping and marine insurance industries. The three organizations are therefore taking the opportunity to organize a one-day international seminar on Tanker Safety, Pollution Prevention, Spill Response and Compensation, which will be held the same week as the autumn meetings of INTERTANKO's Executive Committee and Council. International Seminar Held in Hong Kong

The International Seminar on Tanker Safety, Pollution Prevention, Spill Response and Compensation, co-hosted by ITOPF, OCIMF and INTERTANKO, has proven to be very popular. Close to three hundred delegates have indicated their participation in a seminar that will include presentations and updates on OCIMF, SIRE and Charterers' View of Classification Society Progress, as well as Voluntary Improvements for Quality Shipping, Information Sharing, the Threat of Piracy and Recent Developments in the International Compensation System.
