National Geographic Resolution Delivered to Lindblad Expeditions

Lindblad Expeditions Holdings took delivery of National Geographic Resolution from Ulstein Verft, marking the official completion of the line’s second polar new build. Present at the handover ceremony in Ulsteinvik, Norway for the official signing was Nikolaos Doulis, Senior Vice President, New Buildings and Kenneth Pettersen, Project Director at Ulstein Verft. Havyard Delivers Windmill OSVs to Esvagt

Norway's Havyard Ship Technology has delivered the first of three offshore wind service operations vessels to Danish shipping company Esvagt. The 83.7-metre vessel is the first of its kind to be manufactured by the oil sector specialist and will be deployed under long-term contracts with Siemens. The vessel is the first of a pair ordered in July 2013 to work under long-term contracts with Siemens on service assignments for offshore wind farms. The second is scheduled for delivery from the shipyard in March this year. Esvagt has also ordered an additional Havyard 832 SOV from the shipbuilder that will be under contract for the Dudgeon windfarm, which is operated by Statoil.

New Head of Havyard Ship Technology

Kenneth Pettersen becomes Executive Vice President of Havyard Ship Technology AS, thereby becoming head of the business area and general manager of the company. Pettersen will also continue as COO of the Havyard Group as well as being deputy for CEO Geir Johan Bakke of Havyard Group. Pettersen is 48 years old and was educated as a mechanical engineer with additional qualifications in project management and business management. He worked at Ulstein shipyard for 17 years as a planner, project manager, project director and production director before joining Havyard in 2007, where he was assigned responsibility for hull production and overall planning. Pettersen has been COO of Havyard Group from 2009.
