Chinese shipbuilder Cosco Dalian has completed the construction of the Carioca MV30 FPSO for Japan's Modec.The 332 meters long Carioca FPSO - converted from Flandre VLCC - will be deployed at the Sépia field operated by Petrobras, located in the “pre-salt” region of the Santos Basin some 250 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at a water depth of approximately 2,200 meters.The FPSO will be capable of processing 180,000 barrels of crude oil per day, 212 million standard cubic feet of gas per day…

A number of former executives of Keppel Corp have been arrested by Singaporean authorities in a probe related to charges its rig-building unit bribed Brazilian officials, Singapore’s Straits Times newspaper reported. The report said that  six executives had been arrested by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), including Tay Kim Hock, former president and chief executive of Keppel Fels Brasil, and are currently out on bail. The former Keppel executives were reported to have been called in for questioning relating to a corruption scandal that saw Keppel agreeing to $422.2m in penalties in the US, Brazil and Singapore. Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel Corporation or Keppel) today confirmed that KOM has reached a global resolution with criminal authorities in the United States, Brazil and Singapore in relation to corrupt payments made by KOM's former agent in Brazil,  Zwi Skornicki. As part of the global resolution, KOM has accepted a conditional warning from the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in Singapore, and entered into a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), while Keppel FELS Brasil, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KOM, has reached a Leniency Agreement with the Public Prosecutor's Office in Brazil, the Ministério Público Federal (MPF).

Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) has, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. and Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), secured projects from repeat customers, Petrobras and SOFEC Inc. (SOFEC) respectively, worth a combined value of approximately S$130 million. Keppel FELS Brasil's BrasFELS shipyard has secured hull carry over work for the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit P-69 from Tupi BV (a consortium formed by Petrobras Netherlands B.V., operator with 65%; Shell with 25%; and Petrogal Brasil with 10%), which is represented by Petrobras. The additional work scope on P-69 includes the installation of equipment and cables for the hull as well as the commissioning of marine systems.

Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) wholly owned subsidiary Keppel FELS Brasil's BrasFELS shipyard in Brazil has delivered the Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29, a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, to repeat customer MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., an EPCI arm of the MODEC, Inc. group (MODEC). The FPSO was completed safely, on time and within budget, and departed the shipyard recently for the Bananal Bay in Brazil. Keppel Offshore & Marine’s shipyard in Brazil, BrasFELS, has delivered P-66, the first of the Replicante series of floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units, to Tupi BV. Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Keppel FELS Brasil SA's BrasFELS shipyard, has delivered the FPSO P-66 to Tupi BV (a consortium formed by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras, operator with 65 percent; BG E&P Brasil - a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, with 25 percent; and Petrogal Brasil with 10 percent), which is represented by Petrobras. P-66 departed the shipyard on February 4, 2017 to be deployed in the Lula Sul field, Santos Basin, Brazil. BrasFELS was engaged for two Replicante projects, P-66 and P-69.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, through subsidiary Keppel FELS Brasil SA's BrasFELS shipyard, has been awarded a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) module fabrication and integration project by its repeat customer MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., a MODEC, Inc. group company, for a contract value of over BRL 500 million (SGD190 million). BrasFELS' work scope for this project comprises the fabrication and integration of nine topside production modules for the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29. The vessel is expected to arrive at the shipyard by the first quarter of 2017 for the integration phase.

In Singapore, Keppel O&M's wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) secured two conversion contracts - the first is for a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Floating Storage Unit (FSU) vessel awarded by Armada Floating Gas Storage Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bumi Armada Berhad (Bumi Armada); the second is for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel awarded by Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd (Yinson), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yinson Holdings Berhad. Work on the LNG FSU conversion for Bumi Armada is scheduled to be completed in 3Q 2016.

Brazil’s Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) has recommended the deepening of investigations into 10 companies - including Keppel, SembCorp Marine and Kawasaki Heavy-  involved in the alleged bribery transactions with Petrobras and Sete Brasil. The investigations follow allegations by a former engineering manager at Petrobras, which is caught up in a massive procurement corruption scandal that has contributed to efforts to impeach Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff. Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd's (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries - Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. (Keppel FELS Brasil) and Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) - have secured two contracts worth S$200 million from repeat customers. Keppel FELS Brasil's contract is with MODEC and Toyo Offshore Production Systems Pte Ltd (MTOPS), a joint-venture company between MODEC, Inc. and Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO), to integrate the topside modules of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit. This project will be carried out at BrasFELS, Keppel FELS Brasil's yard in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In Singapore, Keppel Shipyard has been engaged by SBM Offshore N.V.

Keppel FELS Brasil S/A's (Keppel FELS Brasil) yard in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - BrasFELS - has delivered FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo 19 days ahead of schedule and with an excellent safety record. FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo has a production capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and is able to compress 5 million cubic metres of gas per day.

FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo has a production capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and is able to compress 5 million cubic meters of gas per day. It is the first of two Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) projects BrasFELS is undertaking for MODEC and Toyo Offshore Production Systems Pte Ltd (MTOPS), a joint venture between MODEC, Inc. (MODEC) and Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO). For achieving an excellent safety performance throughout this two-year project, MTOPS awarded BrasFELS with a safety bonus in addition to an early delivery bonus.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiary Keppel FELS Brasil, has secured a contract worth approximately US$200 million from MODEC and Toyo Offshore Production Systems Pte Ltd (MTOPS), a joint-venture company established in Singapore by Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) and MODEC, Inc. The contract is for the fabrication and integration of topside modules for the Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO) Cidade de Mangaratiba MV24 at Keppel FELS Brasil's BrasFELS yard in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Scheduled to be completed by 2Q 2014, the FPSO will have a daily production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and storage of 1,600,000 barrels of oil.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiaries, Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. and Estaleiro BrasFELS Ltda, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Sete Brasil Participações S.A. (Sete Brasil), for the design and construction of five additional semisubmersible (semi) drilling rigs based on Keppel's proprietary DSSTM 38E design. The aim of the LOI is to facilitate Keppel O&M's preparation work on these potential projects, pending the signing of the final construction contracts. The total value of the contracts, if and when successfully agreed and executed between Keppel O&M and Sete Brasil, will be approximately $4.12 billion. Earlier in December, 2011, Keppel O&M secured one semi to be built to the same DSSTM 38E design from Sete Brasil.

Keppel Shipyard Ltd has secured two contracts worth a total of S$146 million (over $120 million) to convert a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit as well as to fabricate and integrate an external turret mooring system for an existing FPSO unit. The first contract, from Single Buoy Moorings Inc (SBM), involves the conversion of the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) M/T Concorde Spirit into a FPSO facility, to be named FPSO OSX-2. SBM had been engaged by OSX Brasil S.A. (OSX) to supply the FPSO, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2013 and will be deployed in the OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes S.A. (OGX) field in Campos Basin, offshore Brazil.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiary Keppel FELS Brasil, has secured two contracts totalling R$500 million (approx. S$381.4 million) - one from Single Buoy Moorings Inc. (SBM), and another from the joint venture company MODEC and Toyo Offshore Production Systems (MTOPS). Keppel Offshore & Marine has secured $222.5m dollars worth of contracts through its subsidiaries for the conversion of a floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO), the construction of an internal turret, the refurbishment and outfitting of a semi-submersible multi-service vessel as well as the fabrication, installation and integration of topside process modules for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO). The first contract is for the conversion of a FSO by Keppel Shipyard for M3nergy JDA Sdn Bhd.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel FELS Brasil SA (Keppel FELS Brasil), has secured three contracts worth a total of about S$300m. The first two projects, secured by Keppel Shipyard from repeat customers, are for the construction of a derrick lay barge and the modification of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The third project is awarded by a new customer, Noble Drilling (Nederland) B.V., to Keppel FELS Brasil, through BrasFELS, for the completion of a deep drilling semisubmersible (semi).

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) has secured contracts worth over $20.7 million through its overseas subsidiaries for the upgrade and repair of three semisubmersibles (semis). One of these contracts, secured in the Netherlands, is for the inspection and repair of a semi accommodation rig, COSLRIVAL (ex-Port Reval), from China Oilfield Services Limited. K&O plans to upgrade COSLRIVAL’s electrical switchboards and piping systems and overhaul its marine equipment and deck crane reinforcement.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiary, Keppel FELS Brasil, has secured contracts from Noble Corporation (Noble) to upgrade and repair two of Noble's Brazil-based drillships for $304m. The scope of work covers the fabrication, repair and replacement of components, including the stern section, accommodation blocks, sponsons and heliport. Work on the drillships, Noble Leo Segerius and Noble Roger Eason, will be done sequentially at Keppel’s BrasFELS yard in Angra dos Reis, beginning with the arrival of the first drillship by early 2011.
