Keppel Offshore & Marine Delivers Russia's First LNG Bunkering Vessel

Singapore-based shipbuilder Keppel Offshore & Marine has delivered Dmitry Mendeleev, Russia’s first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering vessel. Designed and built by Keppel O&M, the 5,800m3 ice-class LNG bunkering vessel (LBV) Dmitry Mendeleev was delivered to Shturman Koshelev. When the vessel was ordered back in 2019, it was said that it would, once delivered, be chartered by Gazprom Neft for Baltic Sea operations.The LNG bunkering vessel is the fourth newbuild LBV by Keppel O&M and was built at its Keppel Nantong Shipyard in China to Keppel’s proprietary MTD 5800V LNG design.

Keppel Delivers Another LNG Vessel to Avenir LNG

Keppel Delivers Its First LNG Carrier Avenir Advantage

Keppel Offshore & Marine has delivered its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, Avenir Advantage, to Avenir LNG. Singapore’s First LNG Bunkering Vessel Hits the Water

Singapore’s first LNG bunkering vessel has hit the water in Keppel Nantong Shipyard in China. Jan De Nul’s Green Hopper Dredger Launched in China

The 3,500 m³ trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Diogo Cão was launched last Saturday at the Keppel Nantong shipyard in China, a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine. The green vessel is the second of three 3,500 m³ hoppers to be launched, equipped with an exhaust gas treatment system filtering out and virtually eliminating many pollutants from the exhaust gases. Three Keppel Dredgers for Jan De Nul

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M)'s wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine) has secured contracts from Jan De Nul Group to build three Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHDs). The TSHDs are worth about S$100 million in total. The first two dredgers are expected to be completed in 2H 2018 while construction of the third dredger will require a notice within six months from Jan De Nul to exercise the option for the dredger. To be built to Jan De Nul's design, the dredgers will be able to dredge to a maximum depth of 27.6m, and have a hopper capacity of 3,500 m3. The two dredgers will be built to the requirements of classification society, Bureau Veritas, in Keppel Nantong Shipyard, a subsidiary of Keppel O&M.

Asian Lift Adds Fifth Sheerlegs

Asian Lift, a joint venture between Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) and Smit Singapore, a member of the Boskalis group of companies, celebrates the naming of Asian Hercules III, which is the largest and most versatile heavy-lift sheerlegs of its kind in the world. The self-propelled floating sheerlegs can perform single lifts of up to 5,000 tonnes and carry out tandem lifts exceeding 5,000 tonnes with multiple cranes. Measuring 106m long and 52m wide with a hook height of at least 120m, the self-propelled floating sheerlegs can perform single lifts of up to 5,000 tonnes and carry out tandem lifts exceeding 5,000 tonnes with multiple cranes.

Keppel Bags Repeat Orders

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd wholly owned subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd have secured contracts from repeat customers worth a total of S$153 million. Keppel to Build Two Supply Vessels for Lukoil

Construction of two supply vessels to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) class, commissioned by the company Lukoil is starting in China. A steel cutting ceremony was held at the Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd in Nantong on June 18, 2014. In accordance with an agreement on the classification of ships under construction, signed by RS and Keppel Nantong Shipyard in the spring of 2014, RS will provide classification and statutory services during their construction. Survey during construction will be implemented by the RS Branch Office in China. When the vessels comply with all applicable international requirements and RS rules, they will be assigned the class notation КМ Arc4 [1] AUT1 ICS FF3WS DYNPOS-2 Supply Vessel.

Keppel Reports Batch of New Projects

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd.'s (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Ltd., Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd. and Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd. have secured contracts worth a total of about S$140 million. Michael Chia, Managing Director (Marine & Technology) of Keppel O&M, said, "We are happy to be able to offer our comprehensive suite of offshore and marine solutions to our valued repeat customers, who are once again placing their confidence in Keppel by entrusting their projects with us. Keppel Shipyard will undertake for SOFEC, Inc. (SOFEC) the fabrication of an external turret mooring system for an FPSO vessel that will operate in the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme fields in Ghana, in water depth averaging 1,500 meters. Fabrication of the turret is expected to be completed in 1Q 2015.

Keppel Wins $120m in Offshore Contracts

Keppel to Build World’s Largest Sheerleg Floating Crane

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd (Keppel Nantong) in China has secured a contract worth S$143 million to build a heavy lift sheerleg crane vessel for Asian Lift Pte Ltd (Asian Lift). Scheduled to be completed in 3Q 2013, the 5,000-tonne floating crane will be the largest and most versatile heavy lift sheerleg crane vessel of its kind in the world. RAmpage 5000 Class OSV Smit Siyanda Delivered

In October 2010, the Offshore Support tug Smit Siyanda was delivered to her owners, SMIT Shipping Singapore Pte. Ltd. of Singapore. The vessel will be operated by SMIT Amandla Marine (Pty) Ltd. of South Africa. The Smit Siyanda was built by the Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd. of China to a design by Robert Allan Ltd., Naval Architects of Vancouver, BC, based on the now well-proven platform of their RAmpage 5000 series offshore tug designs. Keppel Delivers Five Vessels on Schedule

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), the shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has demonstrated its commitment to meet the needs of customers with the timely and safe deliveries of five ships. These five vessels, including a Multi-Purpose Supply and Support Vessel (MPSSV), an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel and three tugboats, have all exceeded their contractual bollard pull and speed during the sea trials. Keppel Nantong Wins $75m in Tug Contracts

Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd (Keppel Nantong), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), won three contracts worth a total of $75 million, including owner furnished equipment, to build eight tugs. The first contract is secured from Smit Internationale Beheer B.V (SMIT) to build two 90-ton bollard pull offshore support tugs. It will have anchor handling, diving support, and fire fighting capabilities. Delivery of these two vessels is expected in the first half of 2010. They will be deployed in West Africa. The second and third contracts are awarded by Keppel Smit Towage Pte Ltd and Maju Maritime Pte Ltd. Each contract is for the construction of three 65-tonne bollard pull twin-screw Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tugs.

Singapore's Keppel Corp Unit Wins Shipbuilding Contracts

Keppel Corp said its shipbuilding unit in China, Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co Ltd., has won shipbuilding deals worth $75m. The first contract, from Smit Internationale Beheer BV, involves the construction of two 90-ton bollard pull offshore support vessels for delivery in 2010. Keppel Nantong also won contracts from Keppel Smit Towage and Maju Maritime involving construction of six 65-ton bollard pull twin-screw Azimuth stern drive vessels for delivery in 2011. Keppel Opens Nantong Shipyard

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) has officially opened its new wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd (Keppel Nantong), in Nantong, Jiangsu province, China. Min, Party Secretary of Communist Party of China (CPC) Nantong Committee, graced the occasion as the Guest-of-Honour, joined by more than 300 guests. Keppel Gets $105.7m in Contracts for Conversion, Shipbuilding

Keppel Offshore and Marine, a unit of Keppel Corp, has secured conversion and shipbuilding contracts worth $105.7m. The contracts involve converting two Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. One contract is from SBM Holdings, one of the world's largest owners and operators of FPSO and FSO facilities, and the other is from Emas Offshore Construction and Production. The unit for SBM is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2008. When completed, it can produce up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day and store about 1.6 million barrels of oil. The unit for Emas Offshore Construction and Production is due to be ready by mid-2008. Meanwhile, Keppel Nantong Shipyard has received an order to build three 65-ton bollard pull tugboats.

KPMI Appoints Yeo as Chairman of Board

Keppel Philippines Marine Inc (KPMI), a company listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange and a subsidiary of Keppel Corporation Limited, has appointed Nelson Yeo as Chairman with effect from. He has also been appointed Chairman of Subic Shipyard & Engineering Inc (SSEI), an associate of Keppel Corporation Limited. Yeo takes over the chairmanship of KPMI and SSEI from Charles Foo, Managing Director (Special Projects) of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), who has also resigned as Director of both companies. Foo, who is currently Chairman of Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd of Singapore and Keppel Nantong Shipyard, China, was appointed Chairman of KPMI and SSEI in November 1999.

Keppel Wins S$120M in Contracts

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has clinched three newbuilding contracts worth a total of S$120 million. The first contract involves the construction of four Anchor Handling Tug/Supply (AHTS) vessels at its Keppel Nantong Shipyard, northwest of Shanghai. The deliveries of these vessels are expected between third quarter 2007 and mid 2008. The owner is Hadi Offshore Pte Ltd., a newly established Singapore subsidiary of Hadi H. Al Hammam Est., Saudi Arabia (HADI). The companies have awarded Keppel Singmarine a total of 14 orders since 2001. Keppel Singmarine’s latest delivery for HADI was in December 2005.

Keppel Singmarine Wins AHTS Contract

AHTS Coloso built and delivered to Gulfmark Offshore earlier this year. Keppel Singmarine, a builder of offshore support vessels, won a $230 million contract to build six new Anchor Handling Tug/Supply (AHTS) vessels for Gulfmark Offshore. Two of these six 10,700 bhp AHTS vessels of 2,700 dwt each will be built in the Keppel Nantong Shipyard. This is the first contract for Keppel’s newly acquired shipyard in China. The first vessel is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2007, with the final delivery in the third quarter of 2008. Customized to Gulfmark’s requirements, the six vessels were designed by Keppel’s Marine Technology Development (MTD) and are being built to meet the growing demand of Gulfmark Offshore’s customers in Southeast Asia.
