Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (Nasdaq:NCLH) announced today that Jason Montague has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. effective today, following the resignation of Kunal S. Kamlani. Montague was instrumental in launching Oceania Cruises in 2002 and is widely regarded as one of the original co-founders of the company. "As we continue to refine the future organization, Jason stands out as a leader who is knowledgeable about the brands and is so passionate about them," said Kevin Sheehan, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Frank Del Rio noted that Montague had played a key part in creating the great brands that have been built at Prestige.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. announced a definitive agreement with Princess Cruises, Ltd. to purchase Ocean Princess for its newly acquired Oceania Cruises brand. The 684-passenger ship, to be named Siren, joins Oceania Cruises' trio of recently refurbished sister ships Insignia, Regatta and Nautica. Upon delivery in March 2016, Sirena will immediately undergo a 35-day, $40 million refurbishment in Marseille, France to elevate the ship to the Oceania Cruises' standard of elegance.

Norwegian Cruise Line executives and officials from the German shipbuilder MEYER WERFT took part in the keel-laying ceremony of the new cruise ship 'Norwegian Escape' in a traditional ceremony at the shipyard. During the official ceremony, block number 35/41, one of 86 blocks that will comprise the 164,600 gross ton vessel, was lifted into the covered building dock as the start of the block assembly for the new ship. In the dock, Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s president and chief executive officer, laid the traditional "lucky coin," before the 400 ton block was placed by the 800 ton crane. “We are pleased to start construction of Norwegian Escape", says Sheehan.

Norwegian Cruise Line says it has reached an agreement with MEYER WERFT GmbH of Germany to build two new Breakaway-Plus class cruise ships for delivery in the second quarter 2018 and the fourth quarter 2019. Each ship will be 164,600 gross tons and include 4,200 passenger berths. "Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway have proven themselves as industry game-changers and are extremely popular with our guests," said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line's chief executive officer. The contract price for both ships is approximately euro 1.6 billion. The Company has export credit financing in place for each ship, arranged and underwritten by KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH of Germany.

During a ceremony in Bremerhaven, Norwegian Cruise Line took delivery of the 145,655 gross ton cruise ship Norwegian Getaway from Meyer Werft after a building period of only 15 months. The ship, the second of two Breakaway Class ships, is being delivered just nine months after the launch of sister-ship Norwegian Breakaway. Following delivery, the ship is sailing to Rotterdam for the start of inaugural festivities which will continue in Southampton before the ship departs for her transatlantic cruise to New York. The ship will be christened in Miami on February 7.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) confirms an order for a second “Breakaway Plus” cruise ship from Meyer Werft of Papenburg, Germany for delivery in spring 2017. Along with the first Breakaway Plus ship, which is scheduled for delivery in October 2015, these two new vessels will be the largest in the line’s fleet at approximately 163,000 gross tons and 4,200 passenger berths each and will be similar in design and innovation to the line’s current Breakaway class, the first of which, Norwegian Breakaway, launched in New York in early May.

Norwegian Cruise Line President and CEO Kevin Sheehan has his cover blown while working on the frontlines during the company’s episode of the Emmy-nominated hit reality series "Undercover Boss" airing on Sunday, January 2, 2011 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. In the Jan. 2 Norwegian Cruise Line episode, Sheehan is recognized by Silvia, a waitress in the Manhattan Room restaurant on Norwegian Epic. During his undercover journey, Sheehan also hosts the line’s signature White Hot Party where he’s forced to step out of his comfort zone to lead a crowd of more than 1,000 guests in a line dance. Sheehan also spent time on Pride of America in Hawaii, where he worked alongside a deck repairman, John, a fellow New Yorker, who was quite critical of Sheehan’s performance.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and STX France Cruise SA, STX Europe's French shipyard, have reached an agreement and are moving forward with the construction of the F3 cruise ship project. NCL and STX Europe have agreed to revise the original F3 order. STX France Cruise is now building one F3 ship at 150,000 tons with a total of 4,200 passenger berths, representing the largest ship in NCL's fleet. This will mean a continuation of the original hull which is currently in the early phases of construction, with delivery set for late May 2010, as originally scheduled.
