Aldubaikhi Named Bahri’s Next CEO

Saudi Arabian maritime transport and logistics company Bahri has appointed Abdullah Aldubaikhi as its new chief executive office. Aldubaikhi’s appointment, which takes effect January 1, 2018, comes as the company gears for a new phase of expansion following several months of growth, according to Bahri chairman, Abdulrahman M. Al-Mofadhi. Aldubaikhi joins Bahri from Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), where he served as CEO for six years. He previously held senior management roles at several firms, including Afwaf Investment, Awalnet and DowLog Technology Company.

Bahri Appoint Two Board Members

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) announces it received on 21/11/1435H corresponding to 16/9/2014G a letter from Saudi Aramco Development Company (SADC) appointing Mr. Said Abdullatif Al-Hadrami (non-executive member) and Mr. Bader Abdulqader Ghouth (non-executive member) as the Board members of Bahri representing SADC with immediate effect. This is in accordance with the article (15) of Bahri by-laws which states that SADC has the right to appoint (2) Board members of Bahri. Mr. Said Al-Hadrami holds a Master degree in Business Administration of Petroleum and Minerals and Bachelor s in Industrial Management from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia.

Major Seabed Seismic R&D Collaboration

SpiceRack: CGGVeritas & Saudi Aramco join in major R&D collaboration to develop seabed seismic acquisition. Five months after CGGVeritas  and Saudi Aramco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaborative research and the development of geophysical acquisition, processing, analysis and interpretation technologies, the two companies have entered into a collaboration to conduct a major joint R&D project, known as SpiceRack, intended to herald a new innovative solution for seabed seismic acquisition. Under the terms of the SpiceRack project, CGGVeritas and Saudi Aramco will work in close partnership to develop, manufacture, and commercialize an innovative robotized solution for seabed seismic acquisition.

KCF Smart Tether Helps Assess Red Sea Habitat

Submerged Recovery & Inspection Services help King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals gather marine data used near proposed oil dril sites. The company used a VideoRay Pro4 ROV to complete more than 200 kilometers (or, approximately 124 miles) of bathymetry and biotope survey transects in the Red Sea to gain a baseline assessment to see if there were any critical habitats area's in or near several proposed oil well drill sights.
