Kohler announced the appointment of Charles Hunsucker to the role of President - Kohler Power Systems reporting to Brian Melka, Group President – Energy.Hunsucker joined Kohler Co. in 2000 and has held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the organization. His previous appointment was General Manager – Americas & Data Centers, Power Systems.Hunsucker holds an MBA from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Troy State University.

A new line of aftermarket genuine oil from KOHLER is engineered specifically for generator applications. The fully-synthetic premium oils are available in three formulations for different fuel types and are optimized for use in industrial, mobile, marine and home generators. “Generators have to run when they’re needed – there’s no room for downtime,” said Patricio Iligaray, Manager of Aftermarket Parts for Kohler Power Systems. “And, the oil you choose makes a real difference. Kohler Power Systems, manufacturer of diesel and gasoline marine generators for pleasure and commercial craft applications, announced the availability of its new single- and three-phase Tier 3 marine diesel generators. Kohler Power Systems has announced two promotions within its marine segment. Patrick Kline has been promoted to Global Marine, Americas, KPS; and Frank Formas has been appointed to MGR – Field Service, Global Marine, KPS. In his new role, Kline has overall responsibility for all Global Marine sales efforts in the Americas. While at Kohler, he has established a rapport with the North American Global Marine distribution channel and has introduced Global Marine into unexplored markets. In his new position, Kline will continue to develop the Global Marine Americas network toward further segment diversification and area coverage expansion.

Kohler Power Systems, manufacturer of diesel and gasoline marine generators for a range of pleasure and commercial craft applications, is introducing new 175 kW (50 Hz) and 200 kW (60 Hz) models to its growing lineup of EPA Marine Tier 3-compliant diesel generators. The new 200EOZDJ/175EFOZDJ are suited to superyacht applications, while the 200EOZCJ/175EFOZCJ are designed for commercial applications. Kohler’s newly designed Decision-Maker 3500 (DEC 3500) controller is equipped with paralleling and load-management software – allowing for automatic paralleling of two generators without the cost and extra footprint of switchgear. “While load requirements have increased due to advanced electronics equipment, onboard space is still at a premium,” said Frank Formas of Kohler Power Systems. The DEC 3500 offers a newly designed customer interface for easier data entry and retrieval. Advanced features include bus sensing, first on logic and synchronization.

Kohler Co.’s Global Power Group has named Jason Struthers as the new president of its Kohler Power Systems business. Struthers has assumed leadership and management responsibilities for Kohler Power Systems, which includes operations in North America and Asia. KPS Sales & Service — doing business in Europe, Middle East and Africa — also falls under the administration of Struthers. With an emphasis on growing sales, profitability and market share, Struthers will focus on enterprise-wide strategic business and process improvement initiatives.

Kohler Power Systems presents a new line of diesel-powered marine generators, and is expanding its product offering to include a new 350 and 500kW option. Available for orders are a total of 10 Kohler diesel marine generators engineered specifically for the commercial/workboat market. The 40-500 kW (at 60 Hz) and 33-400 kW (at 50Hz), are powered by EPA Tier 2 compliant engines. The 40-180kW range is available in both 12- and 24-volt specifications, while the 350 and 500kW are available in the 24-volt specification.
