Myklebust Appointed CEO of Viking Supply Ships
The Board of Directors of Viking Supply Ships AB has appointed Trond Myklebust as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Myklebust will also act as CEO in Viking Supply Ships A/S, and will take over the responsibilities as CEO in both companies ultimo January. Myklebust is currently employed as CEO of Fjord Shipping AS. A Master Mariner from Aalesund University College, he has extensive experience from the Offshore industry, most notably from his position as Managing Director of Bourbon Norway and ship broker and General Manager within Seabrokers. Kongsberg Contracted for New Seismic Vessel
Kongsberg Evotec AS, a Kongsberg Maritime company, will provide the complete back deck solution for handling of up to 20 streamers simultaneously aboard a GC Rieber owned new-build seismic exploration vessel, awarded by builder Kleven. The ST324XT designed by Skipsteknisk in Ålesund, will be built at Klevenâs shipyard Myklebust Verft in Sande, Norway, and will be operated by Dolphin Geophysical from Bergen. The vessel can tow up to 20 streamers and features the most advanced technology for handling of cables, wires and ropes.
Kongsberg Maritime Outfits New PGS Vessels
Two new state-of-the-art Ramform Titan-class seismic vessels under construction at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries yard in Japan for Norway headquartered Petroleum Geo Services (PGS) will feature a delivery from Kongsberg Maritime including integrated navigation, Dynamic Positioning and an extensive back-deck handling systems package. Forland Selects Kongsberg Evotec ROV System
New systems enhances ROV handling capabilities. Kongsberg Evotec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Maritime, has been selected to supply its sophisticated new Launch and Recovery System (E-LARS) for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), for installation on a new Forland Shipping AS subsea vessel currently under construction at Havyard Leirvik, Norway.
