Stena Drilling has contracted Kongsberg Maritime to deliver a complete upgrade of its systems aboard the Stena Carron, a harsh environment dynamically positioned DP Class 3 drillship capable of drilling in water depths up to 10,000ft. Kongsberg's Operational Advisory Solution for Harsh Environment Semi-Submersible
Odfjell Drilling has awarded Kongsberg Maritime the contract to deliver a real-time monitoring and advisory solution to provide operational safety and non-productive time (NPT) improvements for the 6th generation semi-submersible, Deepsea Stavanger. The contract is in specific relation to an upcoming offshore South Africa campaign awarded to Odfjell Drilling.Kongsberg Maritime’s integrated services and systems delivery for Deepsea Stavanger is designed to provide high operational safety and availability in deepwater harsh environments, strong currents and high waves.
Kongsberg Upgrades Riser Management System
Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies AS (KOGT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA, announced the latest release of the advanced Kongsberg Riser Management System (RMS), which introduces a number of new features developed to enhance situational awareness and improve data presentation. RMS is a real-time monitoring and decision support system for safe and optimal operation of drilling and work-over riser systems based on instrumented monitoring of critical parameters. The system is already in use by major operators worldwide.
