Newbuild Kreuz Challenger Mobilized for Brunei Shell Contract

Subsea services company Kreuz Subsea has mobilized the recently delivered newbuild dive support vessel, Kreuz Challenger, as part of its seven-year contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn. Vard Order Intake Zooms

With 13 new contracts secured in Q4 2017, VARD Holdings Limited's order intake of NOK 3.79 billion in the quarter increased the full year order intake ended December 31, 2017 to NOK 8.28 billion. The new contracts include a luxury polar expedition cruise vessel for a return customer, PONANT. The vessel is the first electric hybrid cruise icebreaker with dual fuel propulsion, featuring high-capacity batteries and LNG storage on board. The vessel is specially designed to take passengers to polar destinations. Having strengthened its position in the fisheries and aquaculture market during the year, VARD was also awarded contracts for seven trawlers, two fish farming operation platforms, and three service/freight-and-service vessels.

Kreuz Subsea Wins 5-vessel Contract in India

Subsea services provider Kreuz Subsea said it has been awarded a contract to deliver subsea completion work for Indian multi-national conglomerate, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) from the start of 2018. The contract, worth an undisclosed eight-figure sum, will see Kreuz Subsea support L&T to install all riser clamps, risers, crossing works, tie-ins, subsea trenching and hydro-testing of pipelines which are part of the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) Pipeline Replacement Project (PRP4) and Daman Field development projects off the west coast of India.

Palfinger Equipment Package for Kreuz Subsea’s New Vessel

Palfinger Marine has been contracted to deliver lifesaving equipment and a winch package for Kreuz Subsea’s newbuild vessel, a Vard 317 design. The vessel for the Singapore-based integrated offshore subsea service provider Kreuz Subsea is designed and constructed by Vard. The DP2 class vessel, with a total length of 91.2 meters a beam of 21.5 meters, is prepared for remote operating vehicles (ROVs) and will be used to for diving support and subsea construction duties. IRClass Sets up Advisory Committee in Singapore

The Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) held the first meeting of its Advisory Committee in Singapore. The purpose of the committee, which draws members from Singapore’s leading maritime and offshore companies, is to give expert guidance to IRClass in strengthening its relationship with the Lion Republic’s maritime cluster and across South East Asia. “In our relatively short existence to date, we have gone some way beyond the simple provision of classification services,” he said. “Life begins at 40, they say,” he added. The committee discussed the aims and objectives of IRClass in Singapore and South East Asia, and advised IRClass to focus on educating the markets not only on its classification capability but the range of its portfolio of services.

Kreuz Subsea Orders Dive Support Vessel from Vard

Vard Holdings Limited has secured a contract for the design and construction of one diving support and construction vessel for Singapore-based Kreuz Subsea group. The vessel will be of VARD 3 17 design, with a total length of 91.2 meters and a beam of 21.5 meters, and has been developed especially for diving support and subsea construction duties. Designed by Vard Design in Ålesund, Norway, and with hull construction to be carried out at Vard Tulcea in Romania, delivery is scheduled from Vard Søviknes in Norway in 2Q 2017.

Aquatic Completes First Carousel Project

Aquatic Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd, an Acteon company and subsidiary of Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd, inform it has successfully completed its new carousel, the AQCS-01-1500 maiden project. Aquatic partnered with integrated subsea services provider Kreuz Subsea on the project. Singapore's Kreuz Holdings Wins Sub-sea Contract

Kreuz Holdings Ltd. The work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2012 for a duration of approximately three months, with option for further extension.
