Langh Tech Scrubber Honored

The scrubber from Langh Tech received the Baltic Sea Clean Maritime Award at the Baltic Sea Forum in Berlin. The third-place award was handed to Langh Group’s Chairman of the Board, Maritime Counsellor Hans Langh by Professor Kurt Bodewig, European Coordinator Baltic-Adriatic. The Forum was organized in connection with the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Annual Forum. The Baltic Sea Clean Maritime Award is awarded to innovative and environmentally friendly solutions and ideas, which promote the well-being of the Baltic Sea.

Langh Tech Scrubbers for Norwegian Cruise Line Newbuilds

Finnish manufacturer and supplier of scrubber solutions Langh Tech will deliver scrubber systems to two new cruise vessels on order at Meyer Werft in Papenburg for (NCL). The two newbuildings of NCL’s Breakaway Plus class will be equipped with Langh Tech’s hybrid type scrubbers, enabling unrestricted operation in closed loop mode. Delivery includes scrubber units for all five engines on each ship and treatment plants for the scrubber water. “The scrubber tower is of our design but will be manufactured at the shipyard.

DeltaLangh Bought by Langh Tech

Langh Tech has bought Deltamarin Ltd’s share of the previously jointly owned DeltaLangh Ltd, which manufactures scrubbers and water treatment systems. “The cooperation with Deltamarin continues and Deltamarin Floating Construction can still provide turnkey scrubber installations,” said Laura Langh-Lagerlöf. The method developed by Langh is based on an environmentally friendly closed-loop scrubber that can also be used in open-loop mode. “The hands-on experience has been excellent.
