MacGregor Appoints Høyesen as VP

MacGregor reorganized into seven operative divisions in the beginning of 2015 to improve customer focus. Offshore Mooring and Loading Division drives the development of Systems and Equipment for Offshore Floating Units. MacGregor appoints Høye G. Høyesen (49) as Vice President, Offshore Mooring and Loading Division starting as 1st of April 2015. Mr. Høyesen joins MacGregor from APL Norway/NOV, where he has held the position of Vice President, Business Development. Before that he has worked in several key positions at APL Norway/NOV during the past 18 years. MacGregor Reorganizes into 7 Operative Divisions

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, announces changes in its operative structure and starts a reorganization into seven operative divisions which will become effective on January 1, 2015. The six new operative divisions together with Global Lifecycle Support as the seventh one will enable MacGregor to improve customer service throughout the lifecycle of the products, offer more comprehensive packages and boost the development of new shiptype-specific solutions, the company said. Cargotec Buys Aker Mooring and Loading Systems Business

Aker Solutions today agreed to sell its mooring and loading systems business to Cargotec for an enterprise value of NOK 1.4 billion, or about €180 million. The unit, known for the Pusnes brand name, provides mooring equipment, loading and offloading systems, as well as deck machinery for the global offshore and shipping markets. Aker Solutions will book a gain of about NOK 1 billion from the sale. "The proceeds will be used to develop Aker Solutions' main business in the deepwater and subsea oil-services segments," says Øyvind Eriksen, executive chairman of Aker Solutions.

Aker Solutions to Supply Loading Systems for Shuttle Tankers

Aker Solutions has been awarded contracts for the supply of Pusnes offshore loading systems for ten shuttle tankers that will operate in Brazil and Norway. The total contract value for Aker Solutions is approximately NOK 150 million. Several major South Korean shipyards have awarded Aker Solutions contracts for the supply of Pusnes bow loading system for 10 suezmax shuttle tankers. Eight of the shuttle tankers are being built for various ship-owners, and will operate in Brazilian waters. Two of the shuttle tankers will operate for a Norwegian ship-owner at the Goliat field in the Barents Sea. The Pusnes bow loading system enables a safe and secure connection for the hose to the shuttle tanker.

Aker Solutions Offshore Loading Systems Contracts, Brazil

Aker Solutions has won two similar contracts, together worth approx. 120 million NOK, from CQG Oil & Gas Contractors Inc. and CCI Oil & Gas Contractors Inc., for the supply of Pusnes offloading systems(TM) to two FPSOs in the Brazilian market. The offloading systems will be installed on the two FPSOs P-58 and P-62, which are being converted and built for Petrobras. The two FPSOs are spread moored FPSOs, and will use the field proven Pusnes offloading system(TM) at both bow and aft ends.

New Offshore Equipment Contracts for Maritime Pusnes

The Aker Kvaerner subsidiary, Maritime Pusnes, has had a busy start to the new year winning contracts for over NOK 180 million. The contracts involve both marine and offshore equipment demonstrating MP's strength in both these market sectors. Two contracts to supply mooring and riser pull-in equipment for a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel that will be located off the coast of Angola. The mooring equipment consists of 12 underwater (hull-mounted) fairleads for 146 mm chain. Two large linear wire winches will be supplied to pull in and tension the mooring lines. In addition, 12 deck-mounted chain stoppers and overboard fairleads will be produced.

Aker Kvaerner Gets Contract for Arctic Bow Loading Systems

Aker Kvaerner has been awarded a contract with Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd in South Korea for delivery of bow loading systems for three new shuttle tankers able to operate in arctic conditions. Another contract for delivery of two additional systems has also recently been signed with a Norwegian shipowner. The total contract value for the two contracts is approximately NOK 50 million. The equipment will be delivered from Aker Kvaerner's business unit Aker Kvaerner Pusnes in Arendal, Norway. The contract with Samsung involves supply of bow loading equipment, for offshore loading, for three shuttle tankers to be built at Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd for the Russian ship owner Sovcomflot.
