SENER Presents Two FORAN Papers at the Morintekh

In June, the SENER engineering and technology group participated in the 17th Morintekh – Praktik 2016 Scientific Conference, in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. This key event for the shipbuilding sector was attended by over 300 professionals, who presented their latest technological developments and their experience in the implementation of different solutions. Update to FORAN Lets Users Manage Series of Ships

SENER has launched an update of its FORAN shipbuilding CAD/CAM/CAE system. Version V80R1.0, which was launched onto the market when FORAN celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015, was a revolutionary change. A year later, version V80R2.0 has added significant features such as a new geometric core and the ability to manage a series of ships (Applicability), in addition to other improvements in all of its disciplines. Developing the concept of managing a series of ships has been demanded by the market for some time, especially in the military field.

SENER Exhibits FORAN V80 Version at ASNE Day

The SENER engineering and technology group was again a participant at the annual congress organized by the American Society of Naval Engineers, ASNE Day 2016. As in previous years, the meeting took place in Arlington, near Washington DC, on March 2 and 3. The event brings together a large number of military shipyards and related companies from across North America, as they gather to learn about the sector’s new developments in both the technical presentations and the exhibition area.

New FORAN Update from SENER

SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas SA launched a new version of its marine CAD/CAM system, the FORAN V80. The new version is fully compatible with the previous ones and includes improvements in all of its modules. The main upgrades come from the initial and basic project stages, where the calculations and results can be reused in further steps. Regarding the hull structure and outfitting modules, they add extra functionality such as the new advanced welding managing, or enhancements in the P&ID – 3D piping link, now with a more flexible and complete data locking system. The update bolsters total integration between FORAN and other PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools…

SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas SA informs it has launched a new version of its marine CAD/CAM system, the FORAN V80, which incorporates new capabilities to cope with demands from the marine shipbuilding, civil, offshore and naval sectors. The new version is fully compatible with the previous ones and includes improvements in all of its modules, SENER said in launching the update. The main upgrades come from the initial and basic project stages, where the calculations and results can be reused in further steps. Regarding the hull structure and outfitting modules, they add extra functionality such as the new advanced welding managing, or enhancements in the P&ID – 3D piping link, now with a more flexible and complete data locking system.

SENER Presents Computer Aided Design Evolution

SENER attended the 53rd edition of the Naval Architecture Congress in Spain, from October 8-10. It was organized by the Naval Architecture and Oceanic Engineering Association of Spain, this time in Cartagena. SENER's Rodrigo Pérez presented a work about the computer aided design evolution, written in collaboration with Carlos González and Luis Sánchez, also from SENER.
