Technip & Fluor Bag RAPID UIO Project

Technip, in a joint venture with Fluor, was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction management contract by PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn. Bhd. for the PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project located in the state of Johor, Malaysia. Under this contract, the Fluor and Technip joint venture will be responsible for the utilities, interconnecting and offsites (UIO) scope of work. PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary of PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (PRPC), a company under the umbrella of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) group, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company. RAPID is part of PETRONAS Pengerang Integrated Complex development.

Technip Wins Consultancy Contract for RAPID Project

Technip, leader of a joint venture with Fluor, was awarded a substantial(1) Program Management Consultancy (PMC) contract by PETRONAS for the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project located in the state of Johor, Malaysia. The PMC contract will include overall project and site management of the RAPID project and provision of Project Management Services for specific EPCC Packages within RAPID throughout the pre-award, engineering and procurement, construction and commissioning as well as warranty management and close-out phases. Malaysia Deepwater Project Contract for Technip J/V

Technip in a Joint Venture with MMHE awarded substantial contract for the Malikai Project in Malaysia. Technip in a joint venture with Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE) has been awarded a substantial contract by Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd (SSPC) for the engineering, procurement and construction of a tension leg platform (TLP) for the TLP Malikai Deepwater Project. This TLP will be designed as a fully-manned platform to be installed 110 kilometers offshore Sabah, Malaysia, at a water depth of approximately 500 meters. It will weigh approximately 26,000 metric tonnes incorporating a topsides, which will have facilities to process 60,000 barrels of oil and 1.4 million cubic meters per day of gas, and a hull. The tendons will be fabricated in the U.S.

Keppel O&M Clinches More Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marin Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiaries, Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), has secured contracts worth $114.8m for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel conversion, a Derrick Lay Barge completion and the life extension of a semisubmersible rig. Tong Chong Heong, CEO of Keppel O&M said, “As market sentiments liven up, we are receiving more enquiries with some new contracts materialising in the last quarter of this year.
