Offshore Solutions Signs North Sea Contract with Maersk Oil UK

Offshore Solutions BV (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland NV, has signed a North Sea contract with Maersk Oil UK to provide marine access support to the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit Global Producer III. Located 185 miles north east of Aberdeen, Scotland, OSBV’s Offshore Access System (OAS) will support the shutdown operations for a minimum of 110 days, with options to extend. Qatar Shell Order Offshore Solution's OAS

Offshore Solutions expand its Offshore Access System (OAS) operations in Qatar with another contract. Offshore Solutions BV (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland NV, continues to build on recent successes in The Gulf, after being awarded a Variation Order (VO) to its existing contract with Qatar Shell GTL Limited (Shell Qatar) for a second Offshore Access System (OAS), bringing its operational units with oil and gas majors in the region to three. The latest addition is to support Shell Qatar’s Wells Reservoir Management Campaign and will see an OAS unit deployed on the Halul 50 multi purpose offshore vessel for a period of seven months with a possible option to extend.

Offshore Solutions: Success in Qatar

Offshore Solutions BV (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland NV, has achieved more than 40,000 safe personnel transfers from a vessel to offshore platforms on its heave compensated Offshore Access System (OAS)*, currently working in The Gulf. The company has also recently secured two new contracts with major operators in Qatar for the safe transfer of personnel to and from offshore platforms, bringing the total of OAS units in the Middle East to three. Offshore Solutions Gangway Provides 24 Hour Access for Platform

Offshore Solutions BV (OSBV) has been providing 24/7 personnel access for Pearl 1 Platform – one of two platforms providing offshore gas to Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project in Qatar - since the completion of sea trials in December 2010. Using the 20-metre Offshore Access System (OAS), mounted on the Bourbon Gulf Star vessel, the Qatar Shell operations, project and maintenance personnel have been able to access the platform 24 hours a day. The unique continuous connection capability of the OAS has been a key element of the marine access success story.

Offshore Solutions B.V. New Engineering, Projects Manager

Offshore Solutions B.V. (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland N.V., has appointed Andy Waterstreet as engineering and projects manager. Mr Waterstreet joins the company from the Dutch electro-technical installation company Croon Elektrotechniek B.V., where he was a senior project manager in the marine and offshore division. With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry and a ten-year career in the Royal Navy, Mr Waterstreet has held senior project management and research and development positions at Mampaey Offshore Industries B.V. in the Netherlands and domnick hunter in the UK. A multi-skilled engineer, he has previously managed projects for quick release mooring systems…

Offshore Solutions Celebrates 2500 Safe Connections

Offshore Solutions B.V. (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland N.V., has announced another significant achievement in the operation of the Offshore Access System (OAS*). Installed on the GDF SUEZ E&P Nederland B.V. (GSEPN) chartered vessel, REM Mermaid, the OAS has successfully achieved 2,500 operational connections. This is the third operational OAS in the Southern North Sea and during its operational life so far has also facilitated the safe transfer of 22,000 personnel, whilst reaching two-and-a-half years without any lost time incidents (LTIs).
