MES-S Delivers 66,000 Dwt Bulker Newbuild

Japanese shipbuilder Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding (MES-S) has handed over a 66,000 dwt bulk carrier to Liberia-based Tomaros Navigation at its Tamano Shipyard.The newbuild is named M/V Tomaros."This is the 20th ship of our "neo66BC", the "wide beam shallow draft vessel" of our line-up "neo series"," said the shipbuilder.Featuring a length of 200 meters and a width of 36 meters, the 38,234 GT bulker flies the flag of the Bahamas.Tomaros has four cranes and five cargo holds, and keeps the superior usability of 56BC.The vessel is designed to have enough deadweight more than 66,000 metric tons and capacity more than 82,800 cubic meters for loading various cargos like coal…

MES-S Delivers 66,000 DWT Bulk Carrier

Japanese shipbuilder MITSUI E & S SHIPBUILDING CO., LTD. (MES-S) said it has completed and delivered a 66,000 dwt bulk carrier M.V. Kedros at its Tamano Shipyard on June, 14, for KEDROS NAVIGATION SA, Liberia.The vessel is the 17th ship of the builder's wide beam neo66BC series.The vessel is equipped with four cranes and has five cargo holds with total capacity for more than 82,800 cubic meters for loading cargoes such as coal, ore, grain, as well as lengthy/heavy cargo like steel pipe and hot coil. "CHRISTINA" (MES Hull No.1919) at its Tamano Works on 15th March, 2018 to Ostria Marine Co., Marshall Islands. This is the 16th ship of our "neo66BC", the "wide beam shallow draft vessel" of our line-up “neo series”. Service Speed abt. * The vessel has four (4) cranes and five (5) cargo holds, and keeps the superior usability of our 56BC. * The vessel is designed to have enough deadweight more than 66,000 metric tons and capacity more than 82,800 cubic meters for loading various cargos like coal, ore, grain, as well as lengthy/heavy cargo such as steel pipe and hot coil. * Fuel oil consumption is less than that of a conventional Supramax bulk carrier despite its enlargement.

MES Delivers 66,000 DWT Bulk Carrier

Japanese shipbuilder Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES) said it has completed and delivered a 66,000 dwt bulk carrier to owner Ostria Marine Co. The newbuild, M.V. Christina, was delivered at the builder's Tamano Works on March 15, 2018. The vessel has four cranes and five cargo holds, with more than 82,800 cubic meters cargo capacity. The ship’s main engine, a MITSUI-MAN B&W 7S50ME-B9.3 diesel engine, complies with MARPOL NOx restriction (Tier-II) for exhaust gas emissions. The ship has low sulfur fuel oil tanks, which are designed for operation in Emission Control Areas (ECA). Service Speed: abt.

Ionic Unicorn (MES Hull No. 1905) at its Chiba Works on March 28, 2016 to Ionic Unicorn Inc., Marshall Islands. The vessel is the 11th ship of the builder’s neo60BC, the third Eco-Ship line up of its neo series. Designed for loading various cargos like coal, ore, grain, as well as lengthy/heavy cargo such as steel pipe and hot coil, the ship has four cranes and five cargo holds, and keeps with the usability of Mitsui 56, the builder said. The size of hatch opening is the largest for this type of vessel in terms of both length and width.

MES delivers next ship of its Eco-Ship neo60BC design, 60,000 DWT type bulk carrierM.V. Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES) completed and delivered a 60,000 dwt type bulk carrier M.V. Phoenix Rising (MES Hull No. 1903) at its Chiba Works on July 1, 2015 to Saville Shipping Corporation, Liberia. Phoenix Rising is the second ship of the builder’s neo60BC, and the third Eco-Ship in the neo series lineup. The vessel features four cranes and five cargo holds, and keeps the superior usability of Mitsui 56, the shipbuilder said.

Alam Makmur (MES Hull No. 1866) at its Chiba Works on March 16, 2015 to Lepta Shipping Co., Ltd., Liberia. This is the eighth ship of MES’ neo56BC, the new generation eco-ship. According to the builder, this keeps the usability and reliability of Mitsui 56 which has seen more than 160 units delivered by MES.
