RSC Bio Solutions Grows Its Team and Distribution

RSC Bio Solutions announced team expansions in several key geographic areas, as well as expanded distribution coverage. Hideki Tominga and Alhareth Shahen are joining as business development managers, Thomas TO is joining as a Technical Business Consultant, and Miranda Lo and Cherl Minot are coming on board in customer support functions. KOTC Renews Marine Lubes Deal with Lukoil

Dubai-based subsidiary of Lukoil, Lukoil Marine Lubricants has reached a renewal agreement with Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC), a unit of of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), for the supply of marine lubricants.For the past three years, Lukoil has supplied KOTC’s full fleet of tanker vessels with its specialized product of marine lubricants. The new deal between the two companies will help to build upon the existing foundation of an already solid business working relationship.As per the contract terms, Lukoil will supply KOTC’s 24-strong fleet consisting of Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC’s), Product Carriers, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Carriers…

Chevron Announces Alliance with Petrol Ofisi

Chevron has signed agreements with the fuel products distribution and lubricants company of Turkey, Petrol Ofisi in Istanbul, that will result in improved supplies of marine lubricants to ship operators and managers operating in Turkey. This alliance covers production, logistics and delivery service of the full range of Chevron’s marine lubricant product line in Turkey for the first time. One Lubricant Solution for New Sulphur Limits

From July 1, 2010 ships operating in the EU Emission Control Area must burn fuel with a maximum sulphur content of 1%, down from the previous limit of 1.5%. Ship owners are now faced with not only fuel switching difficulties but the additional need for lubricant switching as they move in and out of the ECA. However, Total Lubmarine has the only lubricant product in the market place today that can operate successfully for HFO at sulphur contents ranging below 1% and above 4%. Ships using Lubmarine’s Talusia Universal do not need to switch lubricants when moving in and out of the ECA.
