New CEO for Evergas

Mr. Jacobsen joined Evergas 1 February 2015 as Vice President, Fleet after almost 35 years in Maersk. He brings a wealth of leadership experience in both commercial and technical management, having amongst other positions headed Maersk Tankers fleet management for 9 years. Before that he held both operational and commercial leadership positions in Maersk Tankers, Maersk Contractors and Maersk Drilling. The Chairman of Jaccar Holdings Mr. Jacques de Chateauvieux says "I wish to thank Martin Ackermann for his leadership of Evergas through periods of financial and operational challenges as well as a period of rapid growth. He has led the company with success through this sea of changes. Martin has decided to move on and the timing is right for Evergas to have a change in leadership.

Seadrill Appoint Per Wulff New CEO

Per Wullf will succeed Fredrik Halvorsen (leaving to join technology venture Ubon Partners) as Chief Executive Officer of Seadrill Management Limited. Wullf has worked for Seadrill since February 2009 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Seadrill, he held several senior positions in Maersk, most recently as Managing Director of Maersk Contractors in Norway. He has 33 years of experience in the drilling industry, including 17 years in international and offshore operations. John Fredriksen, Chairman of the Board of Directors said, "The Board would like to express its thanks to Fredrik Halvorsen for his contribution to the Fredriksen group of companies since he joined us in 2010.

Keppel Delivers 3rd Jackup Rig

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has delivered the third of four high efficiency jackup rigs to Maersk Drilling (previously Maersk Contractors), on time and incident-free. The rig was named Mærsk Resolve, by Mrs. Sun-hee Madsen, spouse of Mr Erik Madsen, Maersk Drilling’s Site Manager (Overall Projects), at a ceremony today. “Keppel FELS looks forward to deliver as many as 14 rigs in 2009. The timely delivery of Mærsk Resolve without lost-time incidents is a good head start for us.

Keppel FELS Completes Rig for Maersk

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), and Maersk Contractors have inaugurated the new DSS 21 proprietary design semisubmersible (semi), which is also the most technically advanced deepwater drilling rig to be designed and completed by Singapore to date. The Maersk Developer was named in the presence of Guest-of-Honor, Mr Lim Boon Heng, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, by Mrs. Kari Reinertsen, wife of Mr Øivind Reinertsen, President of StatoilHydro (North America Operations).

J. Ray McDermott Awarded Peregrino FPSO Project

J. Ray McDermott, S. A. (J. Ray) announced that its subsidiary J. Ray McDermott Far East Inc., has received a Letter of Award for engineering, procurement and construction of 6,500 tonnes of topside modules for the Peregrino FPSO (floating, production, storage and offloading) by A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S (Maersk Contractors). Projects of this nature are typically valued in excess of US$250 million. Engineering and procurement activity have commenced while the fabrication scope is expected to begin in the third quarter 2008. Construction of the 6,500 tonnes of topside modules will commence in the third quarter 2008 at J. Ray’s facility in . Up to 1,200 Indonesian craftsmen are expected to be employed on this project at J. Ray’s Batam fabrication facility.

Maersk Names Jack-up Rig No. 1

On January 30, Maersk Contractors named the latest addition to the fleet. The new high efficiency jack-up rig is the first in a series of four identical rigs currently under construction for Maersk Contractors. The following three highly advanced, next generation 350ft jack-up rigs will be delivered from Keppel FELS over the coming 15-20 months. The Sponsor, Mrs. Susanne Hemmingsen, wife of Partner in the Firm A.P. Moller and CEO of Maersk Contractors, Claus V. Hemmingsen, named the new rig MÆRSK RESILIENT at a ceremony at Keppel FELS in Singapore. The event was attended by over 400 guests. The drilling performance of the MÆRSK RESILIENT will be 20% more efficient than that of a conventional jack-up rig.

Aker Kvaerner to Deliver Another Deepwater Drilling Riser

Maersk Contractors has awarded Aker Kvaerner a contract to deliver a spare riser for their ongoing semi-submersible drilling rig building program. The spare riser comes in addition to orders received in 2005 and 2006 for three complete riser systems to be delivered from 2008 to 2010. All risers are equipped with an industry leading connector technology designed for safe and reliable operation in ultra-deep water. The first riser of four riser systems will be delivered in January 2008 and manufacturing of riser joints for Maersk starts in May this year. The projects are on schedule and included in the deliveries are the new Aker Kvearner telescopic joint / tension ring systems which provide enhanced environmental protection with a triple packer system.

Keppel AmFELS on Course for Delivery of Jackup Rig

Keppel AmFELS Inc., is expected to deliver the first of its five jackup rigs on time and within budget for Scorpion Offshore Ltd. Keppel AmFELS launched the premium rig Offshore Courageous on November 4, 2006, which marked the completion of the hull works, a major milestone in its construction of the jackup. Ho Cheok Yuen, President and CEO of Keppel AmFELS, said, “We are committed to our delivery schedule for Offshore Courageous, and I am pleased that we are progressing as planned for our first rig for Scorpion Offshore. The other four Scorpion rigs are named Offshore Defender, Offshore Resolute, Offshore Vigilant and Offshore Intrepid. All five rigs are built to the LeTourneau Super 116 design, with leg lengths of 477 ft.

Aker Kvaerner Wins Deepwater Contract

Maersk Contractors has awarded Aker Kvaerner Subsea a contract to deliver two deep water drilling risers, equipped with an industry leading connector technology. The contract is valued at $32 million, excluding options, and positions Aker Kvaerner as one of the market leaders in riser technology. The order is for two 2250 meter risers, with options for a third 2250 meter riser and optional additional length for each riser of 750 meters. The risers are designed to operate in water depth down to 3000 meters. The project will be managed by Aker Kvaerner Subsea's umbilical and riser group in Mobile, Alabama, USA, with the first riser to be delivered in January 2008, followed by delivery of the second riser in January 2009. The CLIP riser connector is a proven technology in deep water.

Keppel FELS Delivers Structures For Rig

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has fabricated and delivered the sophisticated structures of the Maersk DSS-20-CAS-M semi-submersible to its subsidiary, Caspian Shipyard Company Ltd (CSC) in Baku, Azerbaijan two weeks ahead of schedule. CSC, which has already completed about 50 per cent of the overall work, is now entering into the next phase of the construction to join the lower hull sections together and fully consolidate the upper hull on to it. When completed in the third quarter of 2003, the Maersk rig will become the first semi-submersible to be built in the Caspian Sea and will also be technologically, the most advanced unit operating in the region.

Keppel to Deliver Maersk Rig Early

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) will deliver a new generation semi-submersible rig to Maersk Contractors two weeks ahead of schedule in mid August 2003. The rig was named LIDER in a ceremony that was attended by more that 1,000 guests at Caspian Shipyard Company (CSC) in Baku, Azerbaijan. Mr Tage Bundgaard, President of Maersk Contractors, said, "We are proud of this new highly advanced rig. We fully expect LIDER to prove its state-of-the-art capabilities during the upcoming contract with Exxon Azerbaijan and other operators in the Caspain region. LIDER will be contracted to Exxon Azerbaijan Operating Company LLC and Chevron Overseas Petroleum Azerbaijan Limited for a three-year drilling program.
