Offshore Energy: Semco to Prep Rig Floatel Victory for Action

Semco Maritime has won the contract to upgrade the Floatel Victory accommodation rig. Following the upgrade, the rig will sail out to undertake a contract in the British sector of the North Sea for Maersk Oil UK. Floatel Victory, owned by Floatel International, is expected to call at the Semco Maritime rig yard at Hanøytangen, Bergen, at the beginning of June after expiry of current contract with BP. ”We are pleased that Floatel International has chosen us for the assignment. This is an important order for Semco Maritime’s rig yard at Hanøytangen.

Atlantic Offshore Scotland Secures Charter with Maersk Oil UK

Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) operator Atlantic Offshore Scotland Ltd, has secured a two-year firm charter with Maersk Oil UK. The company’s ERRV Ocean Troll, will provide Emergency Response and Rescue services for Maersk Oil’s Culzean project in the central North Sea. The Charter is the first Fire Fighting Class II (Fi-Fi II) ERRV to have operated in the UK sector. The charter commenced in July 2017 and will last for a firm period of two years, with two, one-year options thereafter.

Maersk Oil Orders FSO from MODEC

Maersk Oil North Sea UK limited has contracted MODEC, Inc. to supply a floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessel for the Culzean development project in the U.K. Central North Sea. The contract awards MODEC responsibility for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the FSO, while the internal turret mooring system will be designed and supplied by MODEC subsidiary SOFEC, Inc. The FSO will feature receiving capacity of 25,000 barrels of condensate per day, with storage capacity of 350,000 barrels. MODEC president and CEO, Toshiro Miyazaki, noted that the new contract represents a milestone for the company as it marks MODEC's entry into the North Sea oil and gas industry. MODEC said it expects to deliver the complete unit to Maersk Oil UK in the first half of 2018.

Harkand Secures Decommissioning Work in UKCS

Global  inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) company Harkand, has commenced decommissioning work in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf supporting Maersk Oil UK’s work in the Leadon field. DOF Subsea Announces Several Contracts

Bergen, Norway – May 21 – DOF Subsea has been awarded several contracts totaling approximately NOK 475 million, including orders for work in Asia Pacific, North Sea and North America. DOF Subsea reported a range of contracts in what it calls the Atlantic region. Maersk Oil UK contracted DOF Subsea to perform removal and replacement with related survey work for the Dumbarton Drill Cluster Centre (DCC) flexible production riser at the Global Producer 3 FPSO located in the U.K. sector North Sea. The work, secures utilization for chartered-in vessel Normand Reach. Additionally, Statoil awarded DOF subsea a call-off under an existing survey frame agreement for MBE and AUV survey services in the North Sea.

Atkins Gain Maersk Oil Engineering Contract

Design, engineering and project management consultancy Atkins, says it has been awarded an engineering support contract covering three of Maersk Oil’s UK assets in the North Sea. Subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has recently commenced work with Maersk Oil UK on a multimillion pound contract that will see Bibby Offshore provide subsea construction and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services to all of Maersk’s North Sea assets. Offshore Solutions Signs North Sea Contract with Maersk Oil UK

Offshore Solutions BV (OSBV), the joint venture between AMEC and Cofely Nederland NV, has signed a North Sea contract with Maersk Oil UK to provide marine access support to the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit Global Producer III. Fabricom Awarded North Sea Contract by EnQuest Britain Ltd

Newcastle-based facilities engineering company, Fabricom Offshore Services, announced that it has been awarded a major contract valued at more than £1million by EnQuest Britain Ltd, one of the UK’s leading independent oil and gas players. Fabricom is to support Aberdeen-based EnQuest in undertaking a significant programme of modifications and upgrades as part of a project to extend the operating life of the Thistle Alpha platform, which is located 275 miles north-north east of Aberdeen. The work is part of EnQuest’s Late Life Extension (LLX) strategy. To execute this work, Fabricom will use a team of engineers from its engineering office in Newcastle.

Expro Wins Maersk Oil Contract

Expro won a multi-million dollar contract with Maersk Oil. The contract involves providing surface well testing, clean-up services and large bore subsea safety systems for Maersk Oil UK’s contracted mobile offshore drilling unit(s) in the UK North Sea. Running for the duration of three years with a possible two year extension, the contract has a value of £3.2 million.
