Chartwell Marine Grows CTV Build Pipeline for Offshore Wind Market

UK-based offshore vessel designer Chartwell Marine has started the construction of its new Brevity Class crew transfer vessel (CTV) at the Diverse Marine shipyard, becoming the latest in its growing pipeline of new vessel builds to supply the global offshore wind market.Chartwell Marine’s current new build pipeline now exceeds 15 vessels across six local shipyards – with 14 offshore wind vessels launched and operational at major offshore wind farms, including two in U.S. waters.The company’s latest CTV entered build in March 2024…

Manor Marine Delivers Cargo-carrying Pontoon

U.K. shipbuilder Manor Marine, an OEG group company, announced it has built a new cargo-carrying pontoon for the Ascension Island Government.Construction commenced in February 2023, and the pontoon has been delivered on schedule.The 17-meter self-propelled barge is commissioned for shipping to and use in the Ascension Island waters.Previous pontoons fabricated for the Ascension Island Government at the Manor Marine shipyard were also commissioned for the same purpose, the builder said.

Mainprize Offshore's Wind Farm Service Vessel Hits the Water

UK-based Manor Marine has recently launched an offshore wind farm service vessel being built for Mainprize Offshore.With lifting assistance from Ainscough Crane Hire, Manor Marine launched the Mainprize Offshore Ltd vessel MO8 into the water in the last week of September, following several months of building onsite in Portland, Dorset.The MO8 will undergo internal fitout and final works before sea trials and delivery to Mainprize Offshore later this year.Mainprize Offshore ordered the 26-meter Supa Swath catamaran, designed by Walker Marine Design, in 2021.

Mainprize Offshore Orders Another Wind Farm Service Vessel from Manor Marine

UK-based Manor Marine UK Ltd has secured a contract with Mainprize Offshore to build a second offshore wind farm service vessel, following the win of the building contract for the MO8 in 2021. The second vessel to be built at the site in Portland, UK, for Mainprize Offshore, the MO9, will be another 26-meter Supa-Swath catamaran designed by Walker Marine Design and due for delivery in early 2023.The build of the MO9 will mark the seventh crew transfer vessel constructed by Manor Marine…

Manor to Build Offshore Wind Service Vessel for Mainprize

UK-based shipbuilder and marine services provider Manor Marine has won an order to build a multi-role offshore wind farm service vessel.The 26-meter Supa Swath catamaran, designed by Walker Marine Design, was ordered by Mainprize Offshore. Manor's New CTV Sails on First Charter

U.K.-based marine services firm Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) said its newest crew transfer vessel (CTV), Manor Endurance, has embarked on its first charter supporting the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm, off the U.K.’s East Coast.The launch follows a year-long build and sea trials at the Manor Marine shipyard in the U.K.

Port of London to Unveil £7m Vessel at Seawork

London Titan, the Port of London's new £6.97million ($10.5 million) 36-meter mooring maintenance vessel, will be officially unveiled at the opening day of the Seawork International exhibition and conference in June, the event's organizers announced today. Following its launch last month, fitting out and sea trials, London Titan is likely to be seen by upwards of 7,500 visitors at the event, which is held June 16-18 in Southampton. Seawork International is Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition.

Pollution Control Vessels Launched

Three unique pollution control vessels have been launched in Dorset – with a fourth under construction. The vessels – three with Doosan engines and Westerbeke generators from engine and generator specialist WaterMota – are to be used for  oil spill recovery in South America and West Africa. Build by Manor Marine for Desmi Ro-Clean, the steel Pollution Catamarans (Pollcats) – 19m, 15.5m and 12m - are designed to absorb oil or pollution working at a speed of up to five knots, with a speed when not working of at least nine knots in order to provide a rapid response and quick travel to incidents.
