Berg Propulsion Invests in Sweden Manufacturing Campus

Stefan Sedersten, CEO Berg Propulsion says: “This change signifies the consolidation of manufacturing operations currently located in Singapore and Sweden. With this move we will form a single campus operation across all product lines located in Sweden just next to our R&D group.”

Berg Propulsion will invest in the centralization of all manufacturing operations for controllable pitch propellers, azimuthing and transverse thrusters, and associated control systems to a single campus location in Sweden.Currently, manufacturing operations are located across two separate campuses in Sweden and Singapore. Bosch Rexroth Celebrates 50 Years in the US

2017 marks Bosch Rexroth’s 50th year of continuous operation in the United States. Starting with a small office in Easton, Pa. in 1967 and a handful of associates, Rexroth grew to expand into a newly built hydraulics manufacturing facility seven years later, the cornerstone of the company’s current manufacturing campus in Bethlehem, Pa. Brunswick Expanding Its Boat Building Facility

Brunswick Commercial & Government Products (BCGP) has officially broken ground on a facility expansion at the company's Edgewater, Fla. headquarters. The addition includes a new large-boat building with added manufacturing space and other facility improvements. The new 10,500-square-foot facility will be located on the east side of the commercial boats manufacturing campus and will increase the company's manufacturing capacity by 50 percent. "Today, by breaking ground on the BCGP facility expansion, we are greatly increasing our capabilities," said Boston Whaler Group President Nick Stickler.

EMD Celebrates 5 Year Milestone

Over 1,400 employees gathered at EMD’s headquarters and manufacturing campus in La Grange, Ill. to celebrate the company’s fifth year of independence since being spun off from General Motors Corporation in April 2005. Honored guests included U.S. Congressional Representatives Dan Lipinski and Judy Biggert, along with Mayor Jeffrey Tobolski of McCook and Mayor Robert A. Conrad of the town of Countryside. A variety of activities were held to mark the occasion including a formal program that featured the remarks of EMD’s president and chief executive officer, John S. Hamilton. Hamilton observed, “Five years ago there were feelings of uncertainty regarding the future of the organization.
