Petronas Becomes First Company to Produce LNG from Two FLNG Units

Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas has become the first energy company to produce LNG from two floating LNG facilities, after the LNG shipment was delivered by its floating LNG facility PFLNG DUA on Wednesday, March 24.The cargo was loaded onto the Seri Camar LNG Carrier operated by MISC Bhd for shipment to our LNG Buyer in Thailand. Keppel to Deliver World's First Converted FLNGV

Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), will soon deliver the world's first converted Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNGV) owned by Golar Hilli Corporation (Golar), a subsidiary of Golar LNG Ltd. The vessel was named Hilli Episeyo at a ceremony in Keppel Shipyard today. Upon its completion, the FLNGV will be put in operation offshore Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon SA, and will be the first FLNGV project in Africa. Chris Ong, CEO of Keppel O&M said, "We are proud to be able to deliver the world's first FLNGV conversion in partnership with Golar LNG within three years and with a commendable safety record.

Marubeni and Teekay Join Sea NG in Global Alliance

Sea NG Corporation said that Marubeni Corporation and Teekay Shipping Corporation have formed an alliance with Sea NG for the worldwide commercial deployment of Sea NG's Coselle system for transporting compressed natural gas (CNG) by ship. The Coselle ship is the only marine vessel fully approved by any international marine classification society for the carriage of CNG. Coselle ships will transport moderate volumes of natural gas (30 to 700 mmscf/d) over medium distances (200 to 1500 miles). Coselle(TM) CNG will economically and reliably serve the segment of the market that cannot effectively be supplied by pipelines or liquefied natural gas (LNG).
