Fendercare Marine IMCA Acredited

Following a recent audit, Fendercare Marine receives International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) accreditation. MCA is the international trade association representing offshore, marine and underwater engineering companies. It is a respected voice around the world promoting good practice, particularly in the areas of health, safety and environmental standards, quality and efficiency and technical standards. Fendercare Marine Diving Operations Director, Bob MacMillan said “IMCA Accreditation is very important to us. Fendercare Marine provides an extensive range of diving services and equipment for sale or hire. The company’s own diving teams are trained and experienced in a wide range of techniques and procedures and are also a member of the Association of Diving Contractors.

Fendercare Marine Receives BV Certification

Fendercare Marine’s diving services has announced that they have recently been awarded Bureau Veritas approval to carry out in-water surveys. “Receiving this approval confirms our commitment to safe and sustainable procedures” comment Bob Macmillan Fendercare’s Diving Services Director. “it is a vote of confidence in the best practices that we adopt and supports our intention to become a high quality service provider world wide”. Walney 2 Success for Fendercare Marine Diving

Fendercare Marine’s recently established diving division has picked up it’s first major contract, extending the group’s profile within the offshore renewables sector. Fendercare Marine was contracted by the Dutch-based Visser & Smit Marine Contracting (VSMC) for a multi-million Euro sum, to insert a messenger cable into each of 51 wind turbines for Dong’s Walney 2 development off the Barrow-in-Furness coast. The work has taken place over 85 days of the summer months and has involved the supply of a DPII vessel, a fitted Ampelmann personnel transfer system  nd ROVs to carry out the work.
