CSSC Teams Up with RINA

RINA and China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) have signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement for some of the activities related to passenger ships building. RINA will provide technical advice to CSSC in accordance with RINA’s experience and expertise.The agreement, which has been conceived during the recent visit to Italy of President Xi Jinping for the signing of the Belt and Road Initiative agreements, was signed by RINA’s CEO, Ugo Salerno and Mr.Lei Fanpei, Chairman of CSSC, in Beijing.

The forthcoming Bangladesh's 2nd International exhibition on MPS Expo 2014 (Maritime, Port, Shipping) is the largest commercial marine trade show on the South East Asian countries, serving all aspects of the market, including commercial vessels, owners, commercial fisherman, navy, ship builders, ship building equipment, ship repairs, shipping, logistics, boat builders and sea food processors, this annual event covers it all. The EXPO will feature marine related equipment, gear, services, suppliers, new products and ideas and promises to bring visitors face-to-face with hundred of suppliers. MPS Expo 2014 of (Maritime, Port, Shipping Expo) is the only show dedicated to various regions and industry.

CSSC Plans $500m IPO

According to reports, China State Shipbuilding Corp. (CSSC) is making plans for an initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to raise at least US$500 million, according to a report in the South China Morning News. The company is reported to be planning a share sale for the first half of next year and has engaged JPMorgan Chase & Co. to handle the IPO. CSSC is a State-linked company engaged in shipbuilding, ship repairing, research & design, manufacturing marine-related equipment, and in trading firms. In the next five years, it aims to increase its annual shipbuilding output from 5 million deadweight tonnage in 2005 to 9 million in 2010. Source: China Knowledge
