Goodchild to Build Pilot Vessel for the Port of London

Marco Polo Marine Wraps Buy of Taiwan-based PKR Offshore

Strategic Shift: POSH Focuses on Floating Wind, Divests Taiwan-based JV

PACC Offshore Services Holdings (“POSH”), a Singapore-based offshore marine services provider, said Friday it would be will be shifting its push into renewables away from operational support in the fixed wind market into the development of the fast-growing floating wind market.As such, the company said it had has divested its Taiwan-based POSH Kerry Renewables Joint Venture (“JV”). POSH entered into a share purchase agreement with Oceanic Crown Offshore Marine Services Ltd, the joint venture arm of Marco Polo Marine Ltd, to sell its entire share capital of PKR Offshore Co. Ltd. SOV Bibby WaveMaster 1 Launched

The service operations vessel (SOV) Bibby WaveMaster 1 was officially launched at Damen Shipyards Galati in Romania on March 24. MV FlatHolm Gets Busy at Galloper OWF

Lowestoft based multipurpose vessel MV FlatHolm finished off a busy year in 2016 with a successful charter to James Fisher Marine Services Ltd, undertaking a variety of service activities in connection with the Galloper Offshore Wind Farm during November and December. The Galloper project was busy, last year, with turbine foundation preparation and MV FlatHolm provided daily cover, making sure the site was clear and checking for hazards and obstructions which might have hindered operations with the scour protection rock placement work. Being based locally in Lowestoft, MV FlatHolm was able to be on standby for any situation which might require immediate deployment, offering efficient and cost effective support whenever needed.

Russia to Build 2 Tankers for Azerbaijan

Russia's Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard, a subsidiary of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, is to sign a contract to build two tankers for Azerbaijan’s Caspian Marine Services Ltd. The two companies have signed a contract for building and delivery of two RST27 tankers. The tankers will be delivered to Azerbaijan in 2016-2017, according to the contract. The RST27 vessels of the Volga-Don Max class meet the dimensions of the Volga-Don Ship Canal and Volga-Baltic Waterway. The tankers are designed for mixed sea/river transportation of crude oil and oil products (two types of cargo), including gasoline, with no flash point. The RST27 project was developed to the class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP).

Crewboat Sold to European Buyers‏

Marcon International, Inc. of Coupeville, Washington infomred that Tidewater Marine International Inc. has sold their 41.2m x 8.2m x 3.5m depth / 2.38m draft, high-speed, aluminum crew / supply vessel “Patrice Tide” to private European operators. Built by Breaux Brothers Enterprises, Inc. of Loreauville, Louisiana in 2002, the vessel is powered by four 1,007bkW Cummins KTA 38M2 diesels totaling 5,400BHP driving four 44” x 46” fixed pitch props. This produces a speed range of 15 – 30kn on abt. 100 – 260gph, and range of abt. 1,721nm at economical speed. Vessel’s maneuverability is enhanced by a 150HP tunnel bow thruster. The 233.7mtdw, Vanuatu-flagged vessel has a deck cargo capacity of abt. 182.9mt on a 22.9 x 7.0m, 1.9t/m2 clear deck aft and a total of 72 persons on board.

James Fisher Marine Services Ltd (JFMS), and Fendercare Marine, both subsidiaries of James Fisher and Sons plc (JFS), held an open day to demonstrate the capability of their shoreside support base and the offshore support vessel, the Dart Fisher. The Dart Fisher, which was berthed in the Fendercare Marine base in Great Yarmouth, is a 26-meter catamaran specifically designed to service the offshore energy industry with the capability to transfer up to 12 engineers, three 20-foot containers with a total combined cargo weight of 30 metric tons.

JFMS to Market EOI's TranSPAR Concept

James Fisher Marine Services Ltd. and ExtremeOcean Innovation Inc. Ocean Safety Equips Latest Svitzer Workboat

The U.K.’s largest independent safety supplier Ocean Safety has delivered a full safety inventory to the new workboat for Svitzer UK, as part of their ongoing contract to supply and support the U.K. fleet. The new workboat Svitzer Leven is currently undergoing sea trials and will be based and operating on the Tees. The workboat, which will be used to collect marine wastage from ships calling at the port, has been manufactured in Southampton by Southampton Marine Services Ltd. at Ocean Quay.

First of Type DP2 IMO 70m Catamaran FCB Under Construction

Incat Crowther announced a first of type 70m Catamaran Fast Crew Boat (FCB), compliant with IMO HSC code and complete with a crew transfer system consisting of dynamic positioning equipment class (DP2) coupled with a stabilized access platform. Construction of the vessel has commenced at the shipbuilder Incat Tasmania, with delivery scheduled for September 2014. The vessel will operate as a fast crew transfer vessel for 150 offshore workers to multiple offshore installations.

OSM Maritime Awarded Three Ship Management Contracts

Laurel Ace is a new bulk carrier, built in 2013 at the I-S shipyard in Japan. The vessel was successfully taken over in Japan on the 3rd of July by Capt. Song (OSM Hong Kong), and will sail with Chinese crew. This ship has a length of 161 meters, a breadth of 27 meters, gross tonnage of 17,019 tons and a deadweight of 28,397 MT. Secondly, OSM Maritime Group has been awarded the ship management of the DP-2 Dive Support Vessel Adessa Ocean King, and the ship will be operated by the OSM office in Singapore. The vessel was built in 1989, has a length of 90 meters and the breadth is 20 meters.

Reflex Marine, producer of the industry-leading Frog and Toro personnel carriers and expert in marine personnel transfer, continues to expand its global network of Accredited Service Centres (ASCs) with the launch of its latest Center in Canada.
