Euroship Installs Software on New Bulk Carrier Vessels

Lowlands Saguenay

U.K.-based Marine Software Ltd. have delivered Marine Planned Maintenance, Marine Storekeeper and Marine Purchasing software packages to Ship Managers Euroship Services for their new build handysize Bulk Carrier vessels, Lowlands Saguenay and Lowlands Boreas (35,000 DWT). Constructed at the Zhejiang East Coast Shipbuilding yard, these Cobelfret owned vessels will also be equipped with Marine Software's integrated barcode package to assist with on-board spare parts management.

Njord Offshore Implements Maintenance Software

U.K.-based Marine Software Ltd. delivered Marine Planned Maintenance software to Njord Offshore, to manage planned maintenance activities for their 21-meter crew transfer vessels (CTVs) Njord Avocet and Njord Kittiwake. These two vessels are purpose built for the Offshore Windfarm Industry in a series of vessels managed by Njord Offshore. Designed by naval architect’s BMT Nigel Gee and built by Strategic Marine, these vessels are the first of six which are designed, surveyed and classed to DNV + IAI HSLC R2 Wind Farm Service 1 notation.

Tallink-Silja Installs MPM Upgrade for STA

Project "Systemtillsyn" is a way for the Swedish transport agency to devolve a large portion of their survey responsibility to the crews on Swedish flagged vessels. The Swedish Transport Agency has a survey guide book (THB) which contains all 480 survey items applicable to most types of Swedish flagged vessels giving surveyors guidance for each survey. As most survey items are already covered by their MPM - Marine Planned Maintenance PMS system, Tallink asked Marine Software to integrate this additional STA survey requirement with the existing planned maintenance database.

P&O Maritime Services Installs Marine Project Manager Software

U.K. based Marine Software Ltd delivers Marine Project Manager (MPJ) software to P&O's cable installation ship 'European Supporter'. The MPJ vessel version will enable refit planning specifications to be compiled on board, which is then uploaded to the controlling Superintendent version for inclusion into the main refit specification. Marine Project Manager for Windows has been specifically designed to assist Superintendents and others engaged in ship repair with the monitoring and control of costs.

DnV Awards Type Approval Renewal to Marine Planned Maintenance

Following a successful Type Approval renewal by DnV, U.K based Marine Software Ltd is pleased to announce that Marine Planned Maintenance complies to DnV requirements for Type Approval of Planned Maintenance Systems as described in Type Approval Programme 10-706.70-1, April 2009. The MPM - Marine Planned Maintenance for Windows has now been awarded Type Approval Certificate No. M-PMS-8744. Due to the stricter NOx emission requirements under MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI Regulation 13, vessels which hold an Engine International Air Pollution Prevention Certificate (EIAPP) must provide and maintain a Record Book of Engine Parameters. Briggs Marine Installs Planned Maintenance Solution

U.K.- based Marine Software Ltd. has announced the supply of Marine Planned Maintenance software to Briggs Marine Contractors, to include 18 vessels and separate shore side maintenance equipment. The software was installed at their Burntisland Office in Fife, Scotland, prior to receiving on-site training by Marine Software personnel. The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) officially launched this week BoatOnCourse.com, a website designed to help the recreational boater become more aware of the on-the-water navigation rules to enjoy a safer time on the water.
