Brunswick Acquires Lankhorst Taselaar

Brunswick Corporation said it has completed its acquisition of Lankhorst Taselaar, a marine parts and accessories distribution company based in the Netherlands and Germany. Lankhorst Taselaar will be integrated into Mercury Marine to augment the engine maker’s P&A business in Europe. “Lankhorst Taselaar bolsters and solidifies the distribution arm of our marine P&A business in Europe,” said Brunswick Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Schwabero. “As we have done in recent years with BLA in Australia and Payne’s Marine in Canada, Lankhorst Taselaar expands our reach and customer responsiveness in the global marine marketplace and offers us a larger footprint upon which to build in Europe.

Mercury Marine Receives Brunswick Safety Award

Mercury Marine's Juarez, Mexico, plant recently received the Brunswick Corporation Chairman's Safety Award for excellence in safety and employee engagement. The presentation held on Friday June 4 in Juarez, featured Brunswick Corporation CEO Dustin McCoy, Brunswick Corporation COO Mark Schwabero, Mercury Marine V.P. of Global Operations Chris Drees and other executives at the company. In conjunction with this award, Brunswick will donate $10,000 on behalf of Juarez employees to a charitable organization of their choice. Boston Whaler Holds Ribbon Cutting Event

In 2014, Boston Whaler broke ground on a new era in its history, introducing its largest model ever with the new 420 Outrage. On Jan. 13, 2015, Whaler celebrated the expansion to its facility that makes production of the 420 Outrage possible: the addition of nearly 60,000 square feet of under-roof manufacturing space. At an event held on site in Edgewater, Boston Whaler President Huw Bower led a ribbon-cutting ceremony beforea crowd of local and state politicians, executives from parent company Brunswick Corporation including President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Schwabero, members of the press and the entire Boston Whaler staff. “We’re here to commemorate the expansion that our facility has undergone, but more than that, we’re here to acknowledge all that it symbolizes,” said Bower.
