Navy Contract: BIW Awarded $125m

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $125,950,046 cost-plus-award-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-12-C-4311) for the continuation of integrated planning yard services for Arleigh Burke-class and Oliver Hazard Perry-class ships. Bath Iron Works will provide expert design, planning, and material support services for both maintenance and modernization and will prevent any lapse in programmatic coverage. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine and is expected to complete by December 2017. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding in the amount of $945 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Austal Wins USN LCS Support Contract

The U.S. Navy has awarded a contract to Austal Limited USA to provide engineering and management services support of the Post Shakedown Availability for Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Gabrielle Giffords (LCS 10). The US$12 million cost-plus-award-fee order adds to Austal USA’s growing support business, which provides critical support to both the LCS and Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) fleets. Austal USA will provide design, planning, and material support services for Gabrielle Giffords (LCS10), including program management, materials planning, engineering and design, material kitting, liaison and scheduling. Austal USA is currently completing an 11-ship Independence-variant LCS contract for the U.S. Navy worth over US$3.5 billion.

Austal Limited announced it has secured an order worth nearly $11.8 million from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and management services for advance planning and design in support of the Post Shakedown Availability for the Littoral Combat Ship Montgomery (LCS 8). General Dynamics Awarded US$74-million Navy Contract

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is listed by the US Department of Defense, as having been awarded a $73,913,646 Navy contract modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-12-C-4311) for DDG 51 and FFG 7 class warship integrated planning yard services.  This effort, explains DoD will provide expert design, planning, and material support services for both maintenance and modernization.  Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to complete by December 2016. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington D.C., is the contracting activity.

Recent Navy contracts include awards to General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, and to BAE Systems. General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $9,011,625 cost-plus-award-fee order to previously awarded basic ordering agreement (N00024-13-G-2316) to provide material and labor in support of the post-shakedown availability (PSA) for USS Independence (LCS 2). This order is for the execution of LCS 2's PSA phase two, and will provide labor and material support services for the vessel.

BAE Awarded Two Navy Ship Repair Contracts

BAE Systems Hawaii, is contracted for work on 'USS Chafee' and BAE San Diego on 'USS Rushton'. BAE Systems Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $15,986,837 modification to previously awarded contract (N0024-06-C-4408) for repairs to the USS Chafee (DDG 90). Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by February 2014. Fiscal 2013 Operations & Maintenance, Navy funding in the amount of $15,986,837 will be obligated at the time of award, and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Among the latest US Department of Defense, Navy contracts, General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $7,526,038 cost-plus-award-fee modificationc for work on Littoral Combat Ship 'USS Independence'. The contract announced is additional to the previously awarded task order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (N00024-09-G-2301 ER09) to provide engineering and management services for advance planning and design in support of the post-shakedown availability for the USS Independence (LCS 2).

BAE San Diego Gets USS Green Bay Modernization Contract

The US Department of Defense has awarded a Navy contract for the LPD 17-class warship modernization. BAE San Diego Ship Repair, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $15,361,658 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-10-C-4407) to exercise an option for the USS Green Bay (LPD 20) fiscal 2013 dry-docking selected restricted availability. This option exercise is for the multi-ship, multi-option program for the LPD 17 class. BAE San Diego Ship Repair will provide planning, repair, alteration and material support services for LPD 17class modernization.

Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded an $18,604,845 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-2302) to exercise options for the accomplishment of follow yard class services for the DDG 51 class AEGIS Destroyer Program and will provide expert design, planning and material support services for both DDG 51 ship construction and modernization. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by September 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $28, 347,085, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. NGSS Wins $20.7m Navy Deal

Northrop Grumman Ship Systems (NGSS-a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation), Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded an estimated $20,737,897 cost-plus-award-fee contract for DDG 51 Class follow yard services. NGSS will provide expert design, planning, and material support services for both ship construction and modernization. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by September 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Multiple Award Contract Awarded

Marine Hydraulics International, Norfolk, Va.; Alliance Technical Services, Norfolk, Va.; Davis Boat Works, Newport News, Va.; and Lyon Shipyard, Norfolk, Va., are each being awarded a maximum $47.6m firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract to furnish management, material support services, labor, supplies, and equipment to provide marine boatyard and industrial support, including specific modifications, upgrades, service life extension and repairs to non-commissioned boats, craft, lighterage and service craft, with associated systems that can be transported via roadway by trailer or on its bottom via waterway. Work will be performed in Hampton Roads, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2007.
