Kongsberg Maritime Unveils Next-gen Offshore Vessel Designs

Norway's Kongsberg Maritime on Tuesday showcased a new line of offshore ship designs in its UT Design portfolio. Largest Italy-built Cruise Ship Delivered

Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has said it has delivered the MSC Seashore - the largest cruise ship to be built in Italy - to the cruise division of MSC GroupAlso, Fincantieri said Monday that MSC Seashore's sister ship MSC Seascape was under construction at the Monfalcone shipyard. CompactClean BWMS Gets USCG Type Approval

DESMI Ocean Guard A/S has announced that the CompactClean Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) has received amended US Coast Guard type approval certificate with just 2 hours minimum hold time restriction in US waters, demonstrating its superior performance. Tens of thousands of gallons of oil leaked into the sea from a barge at Mays Ship Repair Yard, Staten Island: containment, clean-up continues. Upon investigation, the source of the fuel spill was isolated to the #2 port tank of Boston No. 30, which was carrying a max capacity of 112,000 gallons. U.S. Flagged Chloe Candies

Saipem America's Chloe Candies vessel spread will be available for work in August 2010. The Chloe Candies is a U.S. Flagged, 280-ft Class II DP vessel with 8,000 sq.-ft. deck area, a 20-ft x 25-ft moon pool and a 75 ton offshore rated crane. The vessel is outfitted with two Innovator ROVs, (one 150 Hp system and one 250 Hp system), surface positioning and HiPAP 500 USBL system and a deployment winch with 11,000-ft of wire to support light construction operation and IMR in up to 10,000-ft and as well as diving support.
