Woodside and Kogas Agree LNG Supply Deal

Woodside has signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) for the long-term supply of LNG to Korea.The SPA provides for the supply of approximately 0.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG for a period of 10.5 years on a delivered basis, commencing in 2026 subject to customary conditions precedent.LNG delivered to KOGAS under the SPA will be sourced from uncommitted volumes across Woodside’s global portfolio, including the Scarborough Energy Project which is targeting first LNG cargo in 2026.Woodside CEO Meg O’Neill said the SPA was significant as Woodside’s first l

Woodside Preserves Place for Australian Seafarers

Woodside Energy has reached agreement with three Australian maritime unions on the Australian crewing of an LNG vessel.The agreement with the Construction, Forestry and Maritime Employees Union – Maritime Union of Australia Division; the Australian Institute of Marine and Power Engineers; and the Australian Maritime Officers Union preserves a role for Australian-resident seafarers in the maritime industry delivering LNG to customers across Asia.The agreement will support employment of around 70 Australian-resident seafarers on an LNG carrier within Woodside’s chartered fleet.

Euronav Doubles Q3 Core Profit Yr/yr; Beats Estimates

Belgian oil tanker firm Euronav on Thursday beat analysts' expectations and more than doubled its core profit in the third quarter from the same year-ago period, helped by higher sales and high freight rates.The market for very large crude carriers (VLCC) "has improved due to increased frequency of loadings from higher USA crude production", Euronav said in a statement. Although freight rates fell modestly during the quarter, they still remained strong when compared to historic averages since 1990, Euronav added.

QP Issues Tender for 4 Mega LNG Trains

Total's Investments in Tellurian Totals $907mln

Tellurian, an integrated global natural gas business firm, announced that it entered into definitive agreements with subsidiaries of Total S.A. for a $500 million equity investment in Driftwood Holdings LP, and related purchase of liquefied natural gas (LNG).Along with Total’s previously announced agreement to purchase approximately $200 million of Tellurian common stock, Total’s aggregate investment in the Tellurian portfolio will be approximately $907 million at final investment decision (FID) for Driftwood, the NASDAQ-listed company said in its second quarter 10-Q filing."We continue to advance negotiations for the sale of LNG and interests in Driftwood Holdings with several counter-parties," it said.

Tellurian Clears Hurdle for LNG Export

FERC Authorises Driftwood LNG

Woodside Expands LNG Supply

Australian exploration and production company Woodside has opened a liquefied natural gas (LNG) truck loading facility at its Pluto LNG project in Western Australia (WA), as it looks to develop the domestic LNG market for remote power generation and transport fuels.The Pluto LNG project is located 190km north-west of Karratha in WA, in the Northern Carnarvon Basin. Bahri Tanker NCC Amal Carries Chemical Cargo to China

National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) announced the transportation of the first chemical shipment from Aramco Trading Company (ATC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco that trades refined, liquid chemical and polymer products, via ‘NCC Amal,’ a 45,000 DWT Bahri chemical tanker which left Port of Rabigh heading to China. Tellurian Fixes Maran LNG Carrier
