ISS Appoints Schollaert

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world's leading maritime, cargo and supply chain solutions provider has announced a key hire to its senior management team with the appointment of Steve Schollaert as Executive Vice President for North America region. Steve joins ISS with extensive experience at American President Lines (APL) where he held senior positions with responsibility both domestically and internationally in the areas of operations and commercial. In addition to APL, he has worked with Kansas City Southern Railroad, responsible for sales and marketing and as a business consultant to private equity firms.

ISS Appoints Mackay Senior VP, Africa

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world’s leading maritime services provider, has appointed David Mackay as Senior Vice President for its Africa region. Based in Mombasa, Kenya, David will have operational management responsibility for eight countries in the region, with ambitious plans for more country openings in the coming year. As part of a strategic geographical realignment, Africa has now been designated by ISS as a specific region its own right, having previously been managed as part of the larger Middle East, India and Africa region.

International maritime services provider, Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), has appointed Romi Kaushal as Executive Vice President of Operations for their Asia Pacific region. With extensive experience in operations and shore based management, Romi has worked in senior commercial and operational positions across the globe. He was also a Principal Consultant for KPMG, CEO for the Emirates Shipping Line in Hong Kong and has held shipping roles in Hamburg, New York, Dubai and Montreal.

The new position will involve Malcolm leading cross-company strategic initiatives, cultural change and continuous improvement for ISS to further its aim of delivering excellent customer service worldwide and achieving ‘best in class’ across its chosen markets. Based at ISS’ headquarters in the UK, Malcolm has successfully driven operational excellence and change initiatives to improve customer experience and deliver business efficiency for British Aerospace, General Electric, Air New Zealand, Tyco and Invensys.

ISS: New Regional Team & Ops Division

Inchcape Shipping Services has announced its new regional team for Europe and North Africa following the creation of its new operations division. Reflecting ISS’ transition from eight regional profit centers within two hemispheres to four world regions and Japan, the new operations division is charged with delivering operational excellence, providing the very best products and quality of service, standardising work processes and optimising resources and capabilities. The Europe and North Africa operations team is the first of the four regional teams to be announced. Simon Edsall has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Operations Region Europe and North Africa.

Inchcape Shipping Services completes Northern Mediterranean expansion with opening in Algeciras. Inchcape Shipping Services, the world’s leading maritime services provider, has this week opened its doors in Algeciras – Spain’s busiest port. It is one of a number of new offices scheduled to be opened by ISS in 2012 and completes the company’s expansion in the Northern Mediterranean region. “The opening of the Algeciras office strengthens the company’s position in this important maritime region,” said Michael van Hemert, Senior Vice President for Europe and North Africa.
