Resolve Engineering Announces Launches of Two New Vessels

RMG1000 launch on the Ohio River, Corn Island Shipyard, Grandview, IN

RESOLVE Engineering Group, LLC has announced the launch of two of the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering firm’s latest design and construction support jobs. The American Phoenix, a 616’ x 105’ chemical tanker was built by BAE Systems Southeast Shipyards, Alabama for owner Mid-Ocean Tanker Company LLC of South Norwalk, CT. RESOLVE provided construction support for the owner during final outfitting and completion of the American Phoenix 49,000 DWT Tanker which is the largest vessel ever built in Alabama.

Resolve Adds to New Orleans Team

Naval Architects Matt Bierwagen and J. Reed Ameel Join the Growing Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Group. RESOLVE Engineering Group, LLC has added two Naval Architects to its full-service naval architecture and marine engineering group in New Orleans, LA. Matthew Bierwagen joined RESOLVE from Trinity Yachts, LLC and Trinity Offshore, LLC, Gulfport, MS, where he was Staff Naval Architect. His experience includes shipbuilding, manufacturing, new product design and engineering for both private yachts and commercial vessels. Bierwagen is a graduate of Virginia Tech and holds a B.S.

Resolve Acquires EBDG's New Orleans Office

RESOLVE Marine Group, Inc. (RESOLVE) has acquired the staff and assets of the Elliott Bay Design Group’s (EBDG) New Orleans, Louisiana office. The addition of former EBDG personnel in New Orleans expands  RESOLVE’s in-house engineering team, creating a new company and wholly owned subsidiary  RESOLVE Engineering Group, LLC. The Group will support RESOLVE’s  extensive worldwide operations while continuing to serve both former and  new clients as a full-service naval architecture and marine engineering group.

EBDG’s New Orleans Office Growing

Elliott Bay Design Group's (EBDG) New Orleans office has added new staff and projects. Seattle-based EBDG opened its New Orleans branch in November 2006 with the key hires of Michael Walker, General Manager, and Sam Charters, Chief Marine Engineer. Recently joining the New Orleans staff as Senior Naval Architect is Steve McKnight, bringing with him 17 years of experience supporting the marine and offshore service industries. Steve has supported shipyards throughout the Gulf region and most recently served as Chief Naval Architect at VT Halter. An additional naval architect will join the team in mid April, and the office is continuing its recruiting efforts for multiple positions.
