Crowley Chairman Presents Founder's Awards

Crowley Maritime Corp. announce the presentation of the company's highest honor to Micki Harrison, director, human resources, and Miguel Artiga, vice president, logistics, Central America, at a ceremony at Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters. The exclusive employee recognition program was created in 1985 and only 56 of the company's more than 5,300 employees have received the award symbolized by a limited edition bronze sculpture, which depicts company founder Thomas Crowley ferrying goods to and from ships on San Francisco Bay in the early 1890s.

Crowley Triples Bonded Warehouse Space

To better serve the needs of local shippers, Crowley Maritime Corp.’s Panama liner and logistics teams have relocated to a new, shared location in the heart of the country’s capital, just minutes from Panama City’s major highways, airport and seaport. The facility offers triple the warehouse and distribution space and makes Crowley the first bonded facility in the heart of the capital city, and the only company with the ability to serve both bonded and nationalized cargo in the same warehouse.

Crowley Organizational Changes

Robert (Bob) Weist

Crowley announced several management changes within its logistics services group. Robert (Bob) Weist has been promoted to vice president of sales and will be responsible for all business development functions and North American transportation services, including trucking and rail. He remains domiciled in Jacksonville and reports to Steve Collar, senior vice president and general manager, logistics. Weist will help develop an actionable marketing plan and sales strategy, while ensuring that Crowley continues to provide value-added customer solutions.
