Solstad's Normand Cutter CSV Stays with Global Marine Group

Norway-based operator of offshore support and construction vessels Solstad Offshore has secured a contract for its Normand Cutter vessel with Global Marine Group ("GMG").The construction support vessel is already on a contract with GMG, and the new contract will start in March 2021, in direct continuation of the current charter.Under the new contract, the firm duration is 120 days plus 80 days options. Global Offshore Charters Normand Clipper

Global Offshore, a provider of cable installation, repair and trenching services to the offshore renewables, utilities and oil and gas markets and part of the Global Marine Group, is adding offshore installation and construction vessel Normand Clipper to its fleet. Researchers Return to Queen Anne’s Revenge Site

Many unknown treasures and concretion-encased surprises await researchers on the wreck of Blackbeard’s flagship, Queen Anne’s Revenge (QAR), near Beaufort. Part two of this year’s dive season resumed this week, and the plan is to recover artifacts from 60 five-foot by five-foot units by October 31. After nearly 300 years on the sea floor, the artifacts often are locked in a concrete-like crust of sand, shells and marine life that is removed during the conservation process. This summer’s earlier dive ended in mid-June with the recovery of two eight-foot cannons.
