Two MOL Subsidiaries' Names Changed

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. today announced name changes for two of its major wholly owned subsidiaries: MM HOLDINGS (AMERICAS) INC. to MOL (AMERICAS) HOLDINGS, INC., effective July 7, 2016; and MITSUI O.S.K. BULK SHIPPING (ASIA OCEANIA) PTE. LTD. to MOL (ASIA OCEANIA) PTE. LTD., effective August 5, 2016. MOL (AMERICAS) HOLDINGS, INC. and MOL (ASIA OCEANIA) PTE. LTD. will strive to provide customers with high value-added services that demonstrate MOL’s comprehensive, group-wide strength in the Americas (North America, Central America and South America) and in Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, respectively, while drawing upon over a century of accumulated experience and know-how. Singapore Port, Industry Honor MOL

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. today announced that its group company in Singapore, Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (Asia Oceania) Pte Ltd -which plays a central role in developing MOL Group business in Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East-received the International Maritime Centre (Corporate) Award from the Maritime and Port Authority in the ceremony attended by Singapore’s Minister for Transport,Mr. Lui Tuck Yew, on April 21. The award is presented annually to the company that makes significant contributions to the maritime industry in Singapore. MOL Group works continually to expand its business and enhance ship operations in Singapore, contributing to the continued growth of the nation’s maritime industry.

Port of Brunswick Wins Honda Import Deal

The Georgia Ports Authority has won new import business from Honda. The 2015 Honda Fit, built at the carmaker’s new plant in Celaya, Mexico, is moving into the U.S. through the Port of Brunswick. International Auto Processing (IAP) will handle the cars upon arrival. “Highlighting the truly global nature of auto manufacturing, a Japanese company building cars in Mexico has chosen Georgia’s deepwater ports as a vital gateway to the U.S.,” said GPA Executive Director Curtis Foltz.

MOL Hosts Party in Singapore

MOL to Start Independent LR1 Product Tanker Operation

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced that it will begin independently marketing and chartering seven Large Range 1 (LR1)1 product tankers in the world market starting in June. MOL has participated in "The LR1 Pool2" since December 2002, and entrusted the pool with operation of MOL's LR1 product tankers. However, MOL decided to withdraw from the pool in June. "The LR1 Pool," managed by LR1 Management K/S, entrusts MOL with marketing and chartering for Japanese and South Korean customers. This will terminate effective March 28, with closing of the business in , prior to withdrawal from the pool. MOL will start marketing and chartering service in the worldwide market through the MOL Tokyo office, Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (Asia Oceania) Pte. Ltd., Singapore office, and Mitsui O.S.K.

MOL Names President of Mitsui

MOL, Ltd. has appointed Paul Carlton as president of the company’s western hemisphere bulk agency, Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (USA) Inc. As president, Carlton is responsible for the management of MOL’s car carrier, Ro/Ro, tanker and bulk cargo sectors operating throughout the Caribbean, North, Central and South America. Mr. Carlton resides at Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (USA) corporate headquarters located in Jersey City, NJ. The appointment of Carlton to the helm of MOL’s western hemisphere bulk operation is consistent with the company’s overall global business strategy. Carlton brings 22 years of bulk shipping experience to Mitsui O.S.K. Bulk Shipping (USA). For the past nine years, Carlton was stationed in Japan.

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has fulfilled the U.S. Customs Services Supply Chain Security Profile commitment. MOL and its subsidiary companies, MOL (America) Inc. and Mitsui OSK Bulk Shipping (USA) Inc., are now certified members of C-TPAT.
