MJM Group Cruises to Poland

The international specialist in cruise ship refurbishment MJM Group has established a presence in Poland with the opening of an office in Gdanski.The marine outfitter said in a release that the office, based in Pruszcz Gdański, will be primarily a Design and Administrative hub which will support key activities and projects at the company’s headquarters in Northern Ireland.Gary Annett, MJM Group CEO, said: “MJM Group has a long and proud association with Poland. Bolidt: Cruise Refits Surge

Bolidt Synthetic Products & Systems says a vibrant cruise ship refurbishment market has brought on an all-time high in refit work, including completion of five major ship projects so far this year, plus bookings for a further seven large ship jobs as part of a workload that the company says includes ‘dozens’ of forthcoming projects planned for well into 2019.In 2018, Bolidt has been a key participant in refurbishment and upgrade projects involving NCL’s Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Star; the RCCL vessels Mariner and Independence of the Seas; and the Azamara Club Cruises ship Azamara Pursuit.

Guest Promoted to CEO at Harland and Wolff

MJM Group Buys Mivan

MJM Group Chairman Brian McConville announced that he has bought Mivan out of administration. Established in 1983 by the McConville family, MJM Group refurbishes Cruise Liners, Ferries, Super Yachts, luxury hotel and leisure facilities, office and retail and private residential. Mivan, one of Northern Ireland's best known construction companies, was founded by Ivan McCabrey in 1975 and specialized in fitting out cruise ships and high-end commercial and residential developments. Earlier this week, Mivan announced that they have ceased trading, but this news means that the Mivan brand will continue. “There are obvious synergies between the two operations which will allow us great efficiencies and economies of scale.
