Mobilarm to Supply MSLD's to Dutch Navy

Global marine safety equipment provider, Mobilarm Limited announced today that it has secured its first production order for 90 Crewsafe V200 Maritime Survivor Locating Devices (MSLD) from the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNN) for use in submarine escape and rescue. The order forms part of a RNN upgrade of all submarine escape and rescue equipment, including new escape systems, escape suits and emergency locating beacons. The order was secured following successful field trials of the Crewsafe V200 for the United States Naval Sea Systems Command (“NAVSEA”) in June and July 2011. The NAVSEA testing was the final stage of the Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) contract awarded to Mobilarm in April 2010.

Mobilarm Launches Crewsafe

Australian marine safety specialist Mobilarm launched Crewsafe, a unique onboard wireless network with Man Overboard functionality at the 2008 International Workboat Show, Dec. 3-5. Mobilarm Crewsafe is a wireless safety network that provides marine employee safety and security through crew location monitoring and by automatically initiating a network-wide alert to all personnel within seconds of an incident occurring. VPIRB: New Marine Lifesaving Device

Mobilarm of Australia launched a new commercial marine product -- Mobilarm V100 VPIRB (VHF Position Indicating Radio Beacon, at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. The VPIRB is designed to provide commercial mariners with a faster, more efficient man overboard (MOB) rescue system than traditional personal EPIRB devices. The Mobilarm V100 is a fully automated, position indicating radio beacon that transmits a MOB distress call via VHF DSC and VHF voice to all VHF radio equipped vessels and land based receivers within range, including the distressed mariner's vessel.
