DeepOcean Wins Equinor Susbsea Deal

Subsea services provider DeepOcean has been awarded a long-term contract involving subsea life of field services on Equinor-operated fields. The award covers onshore project management, engineering and offshore operations utilising a variety of vessels within the DeepOcean fleet of high quality vessels. Offshore operations may include life of lield services such as standard inspection and survey work involving use of Work Class and Observation class ROVs, installation and replacement of subsea modules and X-mas trees using Module Handling Systems as well as scale squeeze operations and installation of structures. The contract is call-off based and has a firm duration of 5 years, starting in January 2019.

DeepOcean Deep Water Operations in Brazil

DeepOcean was established in 1999 and is dedicated to subsea services and operations in deep waters, able to take on deep-water assignments anywhere in the world. The company is an integrated service provider for the subsea industry. DeepOcean has a global track record of subsea services including Survey and Seabed-mapping, Subsea Construction and Installation, Seabed Intervention, IMR, and Decommissioning. Since its entry into the Brazilian offshore market, DeepOcean has accumulated extensive experience in deepwater operation, having become a preferred partner to national operator Petrobras, which is one of the few super-majors still awarding long-term contracts for subsea IMR and subsea construction & intervention.

Cargotec Appoints Svennevig as VP

Cargotec appoints Tom Svennevig Vice President for MacGregor advanced load-handling business. Cargotec has appointed Tom Svennevig as Vice President responsible for the company's advanced load-handling business line as of 24 October 2011. Mr Svennevig is experienced in the offshore business, and he joins Cargotec from Aker Pusnes in Norway where he was Vice President, Deck Machinery. Mr Svennevig is based in Kristiansand, Norway, where he also assumes the role of Managing Director of Cargotec Norway AS.
